  1. This forum has a really good mobile interface. Look great on my droid and my wife's iPhone. The new forum does not a mobile interface. It always amazes me that vBulletin (software for THT and hundreds of other forums) does have a mobile interface. A good developer familiar with Social Engine could migrate forum messages/users to your new forum in less than a week of work. Maybe 30-40 hours of work, and perhaps less. Maybe the Social Engine guys could refer someone.
  2. Are you saying you're not planning to migrate the existing forum data over? I think it would be highly advantageous existing content.
  3. Looks like a Social Engine site. The new features look great. Is it pretty easy to work with?
  4. The motors are your trim tabs on a cat boat. To level the boat you move the motors trim. I see. That makes sense.
  5. Joystick control for trim tabs have been around for many years, though I see Bennett has discontinued theirs. Having used both, I prefer switches with indicators to the joystick myself. I watched the video and I am not sure what this product does. If it has something to do with engine trim, would you want to set your engines to different positions when running?
  6. Same here on getting fishing site related SPAM. I am not a registered user at continuouswave however. I am registered at a few other sites, plus here of course.
  7. I have 4 batteries and a pair of ProSport 12 Gen 1 chargers. These chargers are 2 banks each, 6 amps per bank. 1 battery is for port engine and 1 is for starboard engine, 2 batteries in parallel are for house. How would you recommend hooking up chargers to the batteries?
  8. My understanding is that in Florida it is not illegal to drink while operating a boat. However it is not legal to be over the legal limit when operating the boat. I have been boarded for safety checks by coast guard and local police and neither has commented on open containers at the helm.
  9. It's tough ... THT was a great name. Well, you have both names, so so set up a second front end on the same database/forums. Skin this second front end in a JoeBoater motif. Put a word filter on the JoeBoater skin to replace the word reelboating with joeboater and vice-versa. Track the traffic, and let your traffic logs settle the argument.
  10. Here is one reason. In talking with the owners of Chaos earlier this year, they told me RMS has nothing to do with their theft. Only on THT, and now here on RB does this rumor continue to live. Who knows what happened with RMS.
  11. I live in Delray, and see Sandra a couple of times a week. She is the kind of manager West Marine wants and needs. I spend a bit of money there, and occasionally, she steps up and takes care of a situation in a manner where I feel like .. not to use a stupid cliche ... a valued customer.
