  1. We went yesterday as planned and dodged some rain showers. I guess that is why the show has tents! Lots of really big boats, and not many people at all. Not much new that we found but we just bought a boat so we were really looking for addons. There is some difference in the layout of the show due to the landscaping on the shoreline.
  2. We will be there Friday as well. Wiley, any specific plans?
  3. The way things are going here in Jupiter, you should run for Mayor! Welcome home.
  4. We spent our time at Miami on Sabre boats so we had a different segment of the market. The South Florida dealer sold off all his existing inventory by the end of the show and they were taking orders for new boats at a rate much better than it has been for several years. We helped by buying a 2009 38 IPS express. I really think that there were signs of improvement at least in that segement of the market.
  5. Sea sport rebuilding appears to be off so you don't have to worry about that. We are just across 1 from there and the water is really nice. You will enjoy Jupiter.
  6. Of course we care, but we are going Friday anyway. Sunday does not look nearly as nice and the weekends are usually much busier.
  7. Kind of depends upon the boat, the dock, and your use. I remember living aboard a sailboat in North Palm Beach where there was not much tide. But let me tell you, the fixed docks were a real pain when you had to get groceries and other stuff aboard at low tide. In CT, where we lived aboard the same boat, it would not have been possible to have a fixed dock with 7 foot plus tides. I guess the key question is what is the tidal range, what do you have to put on and take off of the boat, how easy is the boat to board, etc.
