  1. There was never any question that Wiley didn't/doesn't take any crap. It's his house and his rules. The only way to avoid them was clearly listed closer to the top of this page.
  2. Oxy-clean. Had a party last week and a glass of red wine was spilled on a very light area rug in the dining room. No trace of a spill. Too bad the glass didn't survive.
  3. I'm keeping the guns. The dog is 7yo so I'll get a new model. She hates the boat.
  4. Comcast has it in HD. I watched Kid Rock earlier today. Some shows are in 5.1 and others are basic 2 channel.
  5. This mornings news said that the other boater was transported with chest pain. This weather has been the pits.
  6. I only drink beer on days that end in 'Y'.
  7. SWEEEEETTTTT! From here she looks like it's ready for a do over. I had the boss's Modal A roadster out Friday for a spin. Too much fun taking a back seat to the crap I deal with everyday. I'm thinking of getting some period clothing and wearing it while driving either his car or buying my own and having some fun. Took a buddy for a ride and he's now looking for one to call his own.
  8. No problem on agreed value, (14K) and no survey on my 85 Mako with BUS. Hell, even at that I'd still be loosing my shorts.
  9. That is cool. We have owls as I hear them in the woods but I've never seen one.
  10. Sounds like he spent a lot of time on the wrong guy. Was she good looking?
  11. Went north for the Memorial Day weekend and with some spare time pulled the boat out of the garage to start it up for the season. First had to lower the boat off the stands back onto the trailer as I don't leave the boat weight on the torsion axles. The batteries were fully charged as I placed them on the maintainer for the winter. Yes, I was too lazy to pull them this year. Pumped the fuel line a few times after tying in the water line to the 03 carb'ed Merc, set high idle pushed in and turned the key. That old school motor fired off within 2 seconds like it had never been fogged. It still has the original spark plugs in it!! (YES BOYS, I do have 2 sets of brand new spares in the tool box) The smoke blowing in the wind through the trees made it look like the garage was on fire. Let it run for about 15 minutes and it was purring like a kitten. Repaired my all around light that hit the 14 door opening when I didn't lower it in the fall backing it in. I also need to determine why my second bilge pump is not working, the primary is fine but they are fed from 2 different sources. It's also time to refinish the teak for the first time since I used Cetal in 2002. I think I'll drop in a new water pump and t'stats too because of age, not hours and change the lower unit oil. I also need to find out why my idle is a little high at 1050.
  12. In addition to the above post they are also used in larger vessels to add ballast in order to make the boat more "wave friendly". Of course the boat I'm referring to is also a full displacement hull. There's nothing going to plane 180 tons.
  13. I've made my post crystal clear. The same way I do my job. Nobody ever questions where they stand with me. Now I'm getting a question from not getting a question answered. Sort of SSDD or is it SSDS? Perhaps they use the 24 volt model. Let me ask a friend if they have gone to using them yet and if they use the hammer feature. Matter of fact I'm done with this topic. I think I'll join you in a cold one and grab a handful myself.
  14. Do you know the difference between the 18 volt Dewalt hammer drill in my cordless bag and the one used by the Doctors in an operating room? He's still not a hero. Good? Yes. Lucky? Most likely. Able to think and act on his feet? Yes. Answer me this. Would he still be a hero if the procedure failed?
  15. I'm very good at drinking when I'm not working. I enjoy heading north and working around the house. I'm more active in shooting than anything else down here. Mostly pistols of various sizes and power but I also shoot trap. A few of us just joined another area club with over 1000 members. I will get into 200 and 300 yard shots.
  16. Well you mention sports players in the title. I don't know of any sports players that have risked their own life to attempt/save the life of a partner, co worker, or stranger. Many people go to work each day not knowing if they will ever see the light of that same day again or their families. Unfortunatly sometimes it makes these people heros. As I see it the Dr was doing his job (and he did a good job) but nothing about what he did makes him a hero. The term "hero" is very loosely tossed around these days. A hero is someone who risked their own life to save the life of someone I listed above.
  17. Yes, the problem is all over and both buildings. We made dam sure that the knee wall areas were well vented for air to pass freely. The only problem for venting we have as does every roof with a valley is venting the valley areas. Funny part is it started on the porch roof in the front where the soffit vents and joists line up all the way to the ridge vent over the second floor. This house was not built by bid. It was hourly with a smart crew and no detail was over looked. I could never sell it for what it cost but then again I built it to keep, not flip. Thanks for backing up my thoughts on the product. We're heading up this weekend and a few shingles will be pulled and sent to the factory for what I think my be my greasing.
  18. It's a cape with 2 large dormers, 1 front, the other rear. 12/12 pitch main with 4/12 front porch and 4/12 rear. Basically the roof lines are symmetrical from every angle. Yes it has full ventilation in the sofits and ridges. If the problem was building related the curling would not be showing up on the detached garage. There is the same venting on the garage with no finished areas effecting the roof. The car/truck bays are fully finished with cold storage above. The boat bay is totally unfinished and this also connects to the cold storage space. It clearly is an IKO problem IMO.
  19. Boz Less than 5 years old. That's what pisses me off. I don't think Garrett will be buying any more IKO shingles.
  20. The yard is on my side and they have sold many thousands of squares of their product. That was the reson I went with them over some of the other lines they carry. I&W is required up here because of ice dams.
  21. ...and post as many nakid chicks as I can find.
  22. They haven't for the most part. I saw a post and beam addition in the town center go up really quick. I was going to build one myself after doing research on them. The SIP's were going to also go over P&B. The builder started jerking me around and I went to sticks. It cost me 30K but I stayed out of prison. I was going to use Murus. (sp) These guys were very nice to deal with and most cutting was done by CNC machine in the shop with the SIP's being numbered for assembly. I wish things had worked out differently but we are still very happy with our home. It was the same design, stick or P&B. I've tossed all the numbers and don't recall the sq foot price but they were all very close to one another for what I was building. In my research I saw some very nice house designs. The biggest PITA I was finding was electrical runs. For my own house I solved this by installing floor devices and I was using Lightolier Multi Set switching so wall switches were not going to be a problem. In the end for our stick built, the floor outlets were deleted but the scene lighting remained. I have looked at many local builders for a few spec house in a 35 lot subdivision I am overseeing and not one builder to date uses them even for the roof. I just don't get it. Everyone wants to heat with a match and cool with an ice cube. Spray foam can do this but the costs don't cut it.
  23. Most people will tell you not to use Rain X on plastics. I've been using it on all sorts of plastics for over 15 years with no ill effects. I've used it on headlight covers in the winter as it keeps them cleaner longer, the face shields on many snowmobile helmets to shed ice quickly, and the windshields on various snowmobiles. Not one has hazed, cracked, or yellowed. The windshield on my boat is glass.
  24. I found the best price a few years ago on Trailer Parts Super Store. Don't forget the switch with the indicator lights. I'm sure that in 2 years time someone else may have a better price by now.
