  1. Who makes a reasonable cost boat cover for a 03 BW 255 Conquest? Don't need something that requires a crew to install. Its a cover that will be used only to keep the leaves and crap out of the boat in the spring and fall while it is in my yard on the trailer but I do get winds. No trailer use. No on the water use. Winter storage of the boat is in an enclosed storage building but I would use the cover only for blowing debris. I'd like to keep it under 1000.00.
  2. No, I used them on my last boat (C-120) and now use a Garmin 4208 on my Conquest. My point was that when Navionics came out with the card reader that would let you run your chip on your home computer it was a POS. I liked there charts but I'm not a fan of how they released the card reader knowing it had troubles.
  3. Save the 5000 you have for sales tax and registration.
  4. I liked Navionics w/Raymarine on my last boat and would have stayed with them except finding the right deal on a 90W screen was hard. I don't need fluff in my charts like 3'D contours and what nots. I did buy into the multi card reader they offered a few years back for 200 or so bucks and was very disappointed. They produce good charts but not so good products outside of them IMO. It left a bad taste in my mouth. There was a pretty big "bitch fest" a few years ago on another site about their products outside of their charts.
  5. About as good of a first post as it gets... and if your willing to own a Bayliner.
  6. With so many great deals out there on used boats why take a chance?
  7. Stolen is what that price says to me. You won't find any items of questionable gain on my boat.
  8. I left at the last minute and didn't bring my camera. I took a few with my cell phone but I knew that was not going to work very well. I had a long conversation with the guys from Hunt Yachts. I'm an outboard guy and they are now hanging them off an Armstrong bracket on the Surfhunter 29. They offset the weight issue by moving everything forward below the deck. The boat is designed for a 22 knot cruise and that's a little slow on flat water for me. Also my fear is the lines of the boat are going to get out of shape. Maybe I'll warm up to a I/O. At the asking prices I've got a few years to figure it out. In the Clorox Bottle department I have to admit the Pursuit 310 really caught my eye but If I move, it would only be to a 28 foot foot boat and they didn't have one there. The new BW 28 Conquest was a nice looking boat but nothing close to what Pursuit was showing off. In any event I'm in no rush and made it clear to the salespeople. We are very happy with the boat we have now.
  9. I went to the show at the last minute on the last day (Sunday). I've just been too busy on details for work. The show was good and I spent a little time with the Hunt display. I also looked at the 285 BW, 310 Pursuit, Ranger 29 Tug, Albin, GW, Nordic, Back Cove, Southport, and the Yellowfin was a very impressive 900 HP boat. The show to see was a freebie but the parking was rape.
  10. I hear a bunch of good stuff on the HVLP units but you might be a little lite on $$$.
  11. Sure. I'm no photographer but I'll take a few shots. I know you guys like CC's but I'll take an assortment. How many Bayliner pictures do you want?
  12. It's an indoor show that was moved into the Convention Center a few years ago. It's a very large space and much better than the Bayside location. The weather for the week is currently looking stormless and above freezing but that could change in a moments notice.
  13. Is anyone from RB planning on attending the NEBS? I'm hoping to attend in the middle of the week, mid day to avoid the kids and crowds. That method has worked very well for me in the past few years.
  14. Looks like you have only one mission in life.
  15. You want to say that to my face, bud? I have ZERO allegience to PL, or any other company, for that matter. The question was asked, I was addressed, I put my opinions (with some inside info) out there, and you attack me with FALSE statements!!! GO F YOURSELF!!!! Now Bobby that's not very nice. First off if you were in front of me yes I'd say it to your face. Don't start that tough guy crap with me. IMO you and Mike go forth and back about that company to the point of making some people who have been around nauseous. You come across as someone who would stick up for PL no matter what was wrong with the boat. You've been doing for so long you most likely don't realize it. Secondly I'm not your "bud" so please refrain from that. Lastly any body who places a single gram of faith in anything JoeyMc44 has to say to should their head examined. With him in any persons corner is nothing but trouble but to each their own. You're an adult and can best make your own choices.
  16. All crap aside I'm glad this has come to the top. CB4 and MC have their heads so deep into the ass of the company that nobody could do anything wrong in their eyes. Sell it all to Mitt.
  17. Why somebody would purposely overload a trailer with two boats is troubling. The kid who lives in his van hauling a trailer with no tags, getting paid to do so, with no ICC or DOT numbers and permits was dumb. The guy who tested the height of his load at 45 MPH entering the tunnel was over the top. The 2500 bucks I spent getting my boat moved from Jupiter to Mass was the best money I spent. The guy had referances from the marina, I met him in person, he provided proper insurance as requested, had over wide permits for some of the trip but for a 105 inche boat I wasn't worried, and showed up here in two days. Other than some winter road grime the boat arrived the same way I left it 3 week earlier.
  18. The local garage up North uses it to treat the undercarriages of cars and trucks to help prevent the rotting of brake and fuel lines. Our 01 Exploder lives in Maine now as a spare. It never goes out in the winter as it sits in the garage but we did it anyway. It's in too good of shape to let it go to hell. They use some sort of brine up there that doesn't freeze but it also eats steel.
  19. I happened to watch shipping wars for the first time last night. Learned that they are filming U Ship and could think nothing else other than all the posts I've read about people getting their boats shipped using them. A few of them 'shippers' (for lack of a better term) didn't look to have the smarts to come in out of the rain. Trusting them to move a new boat would be about the last thing I'd do. A few didn't even have insurance or tags!
