Founding The Hull Truth
Wiley created The Hull Truth as a place for boaters, fishermen and marine professionals to exchange information, opinions and experience.
ReelBoating brings together useful articles, marine product coverage, boat show reporting and honest conversation from people who enjoy life on the water.
ReelBoating was launched in 2009 by Wiley Lulfs, a longtime Florida boater, photographer, online community builder and founder of The Hull Truth boating forum.
The Hull Truth grew into one of the largest boating and fishing communities online, bringing together hundreds of thousands of boaters, anglers and marine industry professionals.
After Wiley sold The Hull Truth, the new ownership chose to continue without him in a leadership role. A few years later, Wiley, already well known throughout the marine industry for building boating communities and connecting consumers with marine businesses, created ReelBoating.
ReelBoating continues that work with a broader editorial approach built around practical information, useful resources and direct community participation.
ReelBoating is the next chapter in Wiley Lulfs' long history of building places where boaters and the marine industry can communicate directly.
