Lowrance HDS-7 Gen 2

I have this unit linked to an Evinrude 225 E-tec. I like the engine data, and the settings were pretty easy to configure on the fly. However, I did not see an engine hour meter and I was wondering if this was an option. Anybody know? I tend to be allergic to instruction manuals.

I think you need the regular etec gauges made by Lowrance to see engine hours.

Thanks Jim. I have a gauge already, so I am not lost. I was mainly hoping that it could do it if I decide to upgrade electronics on my other boat that lacks an hour meter. Do you know of any Lowrance products that can read engine hours through the NMEA network? I want to stick with Lowrance because of the sat. maps available for the Louisiana marsh.

I don't think any of their multifunction gps/ff units will show hours.
