Navy Fleet Week - Port Everglades

Ft Lauderdale will be hosting the Navy Fleet week from Monday April 27th to May 2nd at Port Everglades. 5 military ships will be entering the Port for this Event.

Apparently most the of the ships will be arriving around 7:30am Monday morning and will cause periodic Port closures, especially when the submarine arrives. Be sure to monitor your VHF close this week. Usually the traffic is stopped for around 15 minutes or so for each ship.

I will have the InletCam following the ships LIVE as they enter Port Everglades this week. Everyone who is interested can view this Event via the InletCam. It's quite a sight!

To bad the best part of fleet week has been canceled....the air and sea show. It was always my favorite boating weekend. Its supposed to return in 2010 but we'll see.
