The Latest From Yamaha Regarding The Effects Of E10 Fuels

Recommended Posts

i can't imagine what E85 would do to marine engines and fuel systems.

Central Marine here in St Pete is the largest certified Yamaha dealer/service center in this area. According to the service guys there, they are getting a lot of early power head failures that have been attributed to ethanol. They appreciate the warranty work........but they said it is just a shame what ethanol is doing to marine systems. The fuel samples they take from the tanks of these boats with power head failures is scarry.

Regardless of the economic impact, it is just a matter of time before someone is injured killed at sea due to engine failure.
