This here's a snapper.....caught at Military Appreciation Day 2.5 in Morehead City by Naval Corpsman Cary Towne aboard The Continental Shelf with Captain Dave Tilley at the helm.

your snappers are bigger than mine.........mine = 12lbs

i fish out of St Pete. the Gulf is really teaming with ARS. this one is pretty much typical of the size. the schools of these fish over here are enormous. they'll stack up from 140+ all the way to the bottom of the boat.

i vertical line jigged (butterfly) this one. here's a screen shot of the sounder that day.

It's all good...I've all but banished myself from THT....I've even taken to taunting the mods with mentions of reelboating when an opportunity pops up.
