Where is the Nicest Hotel / Marina Combo on the West Coast?

Looking to go somewhere for a long 3-day weekend with my wife for our anniversary. We live in Ft. Laud and have a flats boat we want to take and play on and also stay in a NICE hotel that has a marina also so we can leave the boat in the water.

Open to any suggestions Naples on up to about Venice or so. Haven't done much exploring over there. What about somewhere around Port Charlotte? Having a decent selection of nice restaraunts is also important.

Went to an event there once. They have a marina but not sure how it is set up.

Been to Port Charlotte many times, they have Fish Ville there in nearby Punta Gorda
