Paul, love the pictures. I think I could look at pics of Alaska all day. How much land do you live on and also how far are you away from a large city? It appears that you live in the middle of nowhere!

It's not cold year round. We just had a straight week of blue skis, sun and 60-70 deg temps. I'd say the second week of July is about the best time to visit based on weather and fishing.

I live 15 minutes outside of Anchorage, in a sub devision. It's just a 1/4 acre lot. But, we are 15 minutes from a variety of trail heads.

I think you Alaska guys are really secret plants put here by Palin to promote tourism every fricken picture looks like a post card. Great pics makes me want to go up there and I don;t even like cold weather

Very nice post. Add me to the list to visit sometime soon. The picture taken from the high perch, looking down past the climbing shoe to the road below, made my skin crawl. Did I mention I have a problem with heights?

Like I said, the day before was beautiful and we were out fishing. That's the crap we woke up to the next morning. Even in May, gotta wonder what Mother Nature has up her sleeve.
