If you found a wallet/purse

If you found purse/wallet. No id. With lets say $1000,bucks. What would YOU do? Be real. No popes. No bull. These are hard times. How would you handle it?

Like I have done before , Ask around to see if anyone has lost a wallet and IF they can identify it and tell me how much is in it , they can have it back .

I have found a three wallets, Two with money one without. Each one of them had a drivers license in them and I was able to get ahold of the owner and return the wallet. All three tried to give me a reward and I would not take it.

Bad times don't change right and wrong, or integrity. I'd try to find the owner.

Try and find the owner, I would hope someone would do the same for me if the tables were turned, after all it is the right thing to do. This day and time with things as tight as they are, that money is very important to whoever lost it. Could mean the difference in having food to eat, a house to eat it in. Think how you would feel if it was you.

Do what I could to return it. Even place an ad in the paper. The person who lost it will be able to describe it.

I'd have to pay back the treatment I got earlier this year when I left my wallet sitting on a park bench 250m from where I live. I had some of my business cards in there and got a call about five minutes after I got home. Ran back down and got handed it back lock stock and barrel. Mentioned the reward word and got told not to be stupid! Honesty and integrity tend to be more valued when you don't have a great pile of cash!
