I feel sorry for boat companies who hired a "Facebook Guy".

The philosophy behind Facebook is "people want you to read <i> their </i> useless posts, not what you have to say."

Struggle to get 2000 "likes" and hope for 10 comments.

Stick with Boating Forums like ReelBoating for a fraction of the cost of what yoy pay an <ahem> "expert".

Soooo many businesses got sucked-in to the FB craze.

Don't know about others but I've never bought anything as a result of FB, but have MANY times as part of Forums

I'll be here when they figure it all out.

I had a 3000+ member ReelBoating FB Page that got zapped by FB without any explaination. I have my suspicions.

But, that in itself should worry business about giving too much effort at the risk of it all evaporating overnight.

I have NEVER liked FB, joined for two weeks and canceled it. If I want to talk to boaters and fishermen I go to a boating/fishing forum.

Nuff Said.
