NEW BOAT NEED HELP!

Hello all so im new to the forum so if i am posting in the wrong thread just tell me.

well my family and i are looking into getting a boat just to fool around in a bay with. No hard core fishing. Maybe some here and there and go out tubing wit a friend or two nothing major. But what size boat would be good for a bay. I have been in a 16 ft wahoo (whaler knock off) and it wasnt very stable or comfortable. I was thinking something more along the lines of like a 17-18 foot sea ray or like a sea doo jet boat and it cant be overly expensive... lets just stick to the price off a 5 yr old or less boat... even new

Do the conditions on the Bay ever get rough?

With some fishing you'll at last need to stand in the boat and have a place for a small bit of gear.

yes i guess i have friends who own boats and said they have seen it like glass but can get to two or more feet on a real bad day

and i was in the 16 wahoo in like a 2 ft day

and for fishing like two or three spinner poles and like a tackle box

Sounds like Ryan you need a versatile boat to fit your needs I would look here and see the style of boat to fit you, and then go and research those boats and see if any of our members here have one. For 10-20k, I would look in the low 20 foot range. there is a big difference in cockpit space between a 17' and a 21' boat. I would look for something 20-22' and find the best value for what you want to do. Stay away from upholstery if possible as it's constant cleaning ect. just a good all around center console or dual console will serve you well.
