.. don't you think you should pick one that isn't easily recognizable?

"The cause of the boat theft is under investigation!" Don't waste your time on that - the cause is downright stupidity!

And they were able to recover one of their own in 30 minutes huh? Makes you think!

Coast Guard: Man Who Stole FWC Boat Arrested

POSTED: Tuesday, October 26, 2010

UPDATED: 12:01 pm EDT October 26, 2010

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Coast Guard has apprehended the man it said stole a 20-foot Boston Whaler owned by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on the St. John's River on Tuesday.

Michael Noble, 59, was arrested in connection with the theft.

The Coast Guard said it was notified by FWC dispatch in Orlando about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday that the boat was stolen from a marina at Fleming Island.

Naval Station Mayport security cameras identified the vessel in question traveling in the vicinity of Hannah Park about 8:05 a.m. with one person aboard, Coast Guard officials said.

The Coast Guard said it launched a 25-foot maritime law enforcement crew and stopped the boat about 8:15 a.m. and detained Noble.

The cause of the boat theft is under investigation.
