I HAVE A 06 E-TEC 250 450 HRS LAST YEAR I LEFT THE DOCK AND THE NO OIL LIGHT CAME ON CHECKED OIL LEVEL FULL,CHECKED BULB HARD.TILTED MOTOR UP CHECKED HOSES OK.STARTED MOTOR UP NO LIGHT RAN PERFECT TILL YESTERDAY DID THE SAME THING.I CHECKED THE SAME THINGS STARTED THE MOTOR NO LIGHT RAN ALL DAY PERFECT.ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPREACIATED.I PULLED THE OIL TANK APART TO CHECK FOR CLOGGED SCREEN ETC BUT FOUND NOTHING.CHECKED HOSES ETC.

Maybe oil level sensor fouled or bad.

Yeah most likely just a bad sensor. If its under warranty take it to your dealer. Should be a quick fix.

If it comes on again, run the self-winterizing program as that may remove an errant air bubble that can trigger false alarms. If that doesn't fix it, it's time for factory-trained professional help. Be sure to check all your connections and oil hose for any looseness, leaks, kinks, etc.

found out to be bad sensor.note 2006 e-tec parts manual doesnt show sensor as being sold seperate from oil pump.2008 does and is the correct part.

Don't overlook the oil filter inside the motor cover. Be sure to note the arrow direction before removing it as I think your engine is supposed to have the arrow facing away from the motor, not towards it.
