LDWF Finally Goes Against Marine Fisheries

Recommended Posts

Louisiana Fisheries has finally had enough of NMFS ridiculous assault on recreational fishermen. At their last meeting, on 11/05/09, LDWF decided not to continue to follow federal fisheries recreational closures for red snapper, amberjack, grouper, and tilefish fisheries. It is only really a statement by Louisiana to tell NMFS that it will no longer blindly go along with the junk science that NMFS is using. Louisiana's coastal waters only extend 3 miles offshore, so it's very unlikely we will be able to catch any of these fishes in our waters anyway. If all states along the Gulf Coast disregard NMFS garbage science, somebody in power may eventually take a look into why it has been allowed for so long. :605_thumbs_up:
