Congrats, Gus! It's been a long haul for you, but you're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and this time it's not an oncoming train. :605_thumbs_up:

Hope you have wonderful weather on the southbound trip, and that you and your crew thoroughly enjoy the experience.

The boat is now mine . . . Starting the trip to OBX Saturday

Wednesday . . . my son Pierre and I drove down from Canada to NJ Wednesday, about 9 hours drive

Thursday . . . met the owner in the morning, we made sure all of the stuff was on board, went to the bank (to confirm the certified cheque), completed the paper work (I now officially own the boat) and then went back to the boat where the owner spent the afternoon with me explaining all the sytems and their secrets

Friday . . . spent the day provisioning the boat, met the engine mechanic who did the survey, got a pile of spare parts for the Cat 3208s (at a really good price), got the new name put on the boat

Plan for Saturday . . . We plan to leave around 6 AM and will go to Ocean City to get fuel and rest for the night . . . should take about 7 hours

Plan for Sunday . . . Continue through to Pirates Cove OBX NC . . . trip should take about 10 hours

When the trip is over we will post pics
