Whotookmyhandle? (aka Baitkiller) is in the hospital, he has Septicemia. He was admitted yesterday to NCH in Naples FL, he has a wife and three children. I will go and see him today.

I just got off the phone with the hospital. Didn't talk to John but the nurse said he seems to be doing well. Doctor will be in shortly to see him this morning. He is in room 318 bed 2. I'll stop down and visit him later today.

Just got back from seeing John at the hospital. He's seems to be doing ok. The left knee isn't so pretty but I'm sure the docs can fix that for him. No idea how he contracted it. It basically kicked his butt in less than 8 hours, putting him in the hospital. He's a healthy guy and will most likely pull through quickly. Hospital bills won't be pretty though. The guy knows his stuff about boat surveys, please help him fill his schedule for the next few months so he can pay the bills.

Just got off the phone with his wife Cathy. Seems the infection is being very persistent despite the doctors pumping him full of 3 strong antibiotics. Knee is still swollen. Patient is becoming quite grumpy, can't say I blame him. Won't be released until this weekend at the earliest, if he shows some improvement. Not out of the woods yet. Keep him in your prayers.

John got out of the hospital on Saturday 10/17. He is still not completely infection free though. He is home and on bed rest until the docs clear him. He will be on antibiotics for a few weeks.
