I saw this on another post , so I decide to make one myself.

Schedule 40 4 inch pipe

pipe cap on one end and screw cap on the other.

I used threaded rod to make the U bolts, as they did not have the right size at HD.

I need to figure out the lock part, maby a pin or a hasp with a lock.

I did a similar thing for a large umbrella on a generator.........condensation built up and the umbrella rotted. A vent/drain on the underside took care of it......but it does not get submerged at the ramp.

If I could seal the tube (one end is) but the screw end would take on water.

Did you put the vent at the back or downside?
