Well, this is the deal. Suzuki had an engineer over here a couple of years ago to do a feasability study on ramping up the 300 to 400...and above. Yamaha didn't put out the 350 to leave it at that. Easily capable of 600 reliable HP. Verados, well, I think they are going to have to up the displacement a bit to get into the 500-600 HP range.

It WILL happen, but right now, there are other priorities...

Chris, Etecs are in line with Suzuki. It's just a matter of the economy...

But we remember Merc Bridgeports, don't we?

Damn, sorry about editing. The equal part of the equation is gearcases. Know of many a 300/350 Vrod gearcase blown out, so that is an issue that has to be addressed as HP increases. Honda has been wary of building a higher HP motor than the 225 simply because of gearcase reliability issues.
