I could use some help with a Garmin GPS 72

Basically I cant figure out how to use all the features.

I also do not have a strict procedure to follow when inputting a waypoint.

Also, I don't know how to put in a longitude and latitude address, and then go to it.

For instance, looking at an old chart, finding a good spot, and put that into the GPS, and when you get to the water, use the GPS to take you to that spot.

I have a bunch of MOB's stored in there, some are years old, and don't know how to get rid of them, or label them.

Who is a guru that may be able to help me with setting up an operating procedure?

(when you mentioned Lat/Long....you know how to read Lat/Long off a map but not how to input it into your gps?) The GPS 72 is very easy to use. STOP using MOB!!! The Enter/Mark key is your friend. MOB is not.

Thanks, I have both those manuals. I just don't see a tutorial in there anywhere. It was similar to feeding me a bunch of disassociated facts, and asking me to put them in order.

IE; to make a way point, first press (?) then press (?) etc...

Press and hold Mark/Enter....should pop up a screen with your current Lat/Long....modify that info with the cursor/mouse pad in the center. Input your destination lat/long, name it. It's now waypoint number 001.....or fishing hole #3....whatever you called it.
