Ok I sold my Grady CC. I need a boat. Need you guys opinion of what would fit me best. Used in the Gulf of Mexico for bottom fishing mainly and some trolling. Needs to double as a family cruiser. Have a 6 month old and the wife requires a built in head. No overnighting. Mainly day cruises. My requirements are 4 stoke twins and a high quality builder. Should I go CC or WA? Looking for something no bigger than 30'. Opinions?

Well, as far as the brand...if you did well with your Grady, you should consider their WA. After all, I think they started that whole gamut of boats. With a child aboard and somewhere to offer him and momma some comfort, I dont think you can beat a WA.

We have had ours only a few weeks, and feel we made the right decision. Sure hasn't kept us from catching any fish, and the cuddy has been helpful to get out this hot sun we have down here. Good luck...wish I had your dilemma.. :605_thumbs_up:

Pursuit 2870 Walkaround. Plenty for sale at that price with twin four stroke power. You'll love this boat.

Kinda figured I needed a WA. My dad looked at an Everglades 260CC and he loved it but it would not be practical for the family. Plus you can't use that boat year round. The wife likes the curtain enclosure for cool fall rides. Is there a way to rig up AC on a Pursuit 2870 or a Grady Sailfish 282? Someone said use a Honda Generator and one of those suitcase size room AC units from Home Depot.

Anyone know of a clean Pursuit 2870 or Grady Sailfish 282 for sale at a good price? Preferably close to Destin, Fl.

Thanks guys. :1992_beer_cheer:

Exactly why we ended up with a Walk around.

My kids use the heck out of it on family cruises and fishing trips.

Also, most WA's come with a wide hard top, while CC T-tops aren't usually as big.

Can't speak to the Pursuit. I was really impressed with the Wellcraft 270 and 290 coastal, both of which can be had with a generator and AC.

Here's a nice 290 in Miami for cheap
