Traier Brakes

I need to replace the brakes on my trailer. Service guy is suggesting either UFP or Kodiak. What has been your experience with these 2 brands.

I just replaced a set of Kodiak S-Cads that lasted 6 years. I put the same brakes back on it.

i have had great luck with Kodiak, both the silver clad and the stainless,,good product..!

I am on my second trailer with Kodiak discs and I can tell you my third trailer will have them as well. I set them up with the BrakeRite electric over hydraulic actuator and could not be happier with how well the system works. You can actually control the braking!

I've had 2 trailers with Kodiak silver/cads and I think they are great. Both had elect/hydraulic actuators; also great. If you are not familiar with this system it is really worth checking out. PM me if you want more info.

Had 1 trailer with Tie-Down discs. They rusted real quick.

2 Trailers with Kodiaks...Great

1 Trailer with Tie Downs..Made it about a month till the problems started...wound up replacing them after a little over a year rusted bad.. Did I mention Tie Down Customer service SUXS!!

Kodiaks for me as well. I have had them for 4 years without a single issue
