The jet lag is playing havoc on the kids, but the weather is cool and having fun.

seems like once you go to one hard rock its a draw to go to as many as you can. I find myself going to a bunch in all this overseas travel. I've picked up about 15-20 hats/shirts from different ones so far! It's an addiction and an expensive one!!

That would be THE Original Hard Rock Cafe, right by Hyde Corner!

OK, here are some of the lesser known spots....

Make sure to do the London Dungeon.

And for God's sake DO NOT leave London without visiting the Natural History and the Victoria and Albert Museums.

Do some of the pubs on Fleet Street -where the newspapers were printed and the pubs catered to the famous writers. Best pubs in the city.

Go to Convent Garden.

Just sit in Trafalgar Square. don't do anything, just sit there and maybe wander up to the National Art.

Eat a Chinese meal in Soho.

Do NOT go to Greenwich. The Cutty Sark was burned to the gunnels and is being rebuilt under cover. The Gypsy Moth has been taken off because Sir Francis is thinking of redoing the circumnavigation. If you want to straddle the meridian, then fine. But that and a lot of musty naval history is all that is left down there!

Ahh Yes..remember that spot very well! However it was about twenty years ago! Can you still get a greasy fish and chips dinner wrapped in newspaper? Sure did taste good...Good luck, Stephen and have fun!

This is our 3rd trip and my seventh. We had dinner at the Jade Dragon and went to Young's and pounded a few. We also went to Punch and Judy's in Covent Garden. Today is all about the attractions. We have the ceremony of the keys and this morning we are hitting portebello market before we head down town. I wanted to go to Grenwich for the boat ride, but now I am thinking not.

Know you've thought of it but I love Battle of Brittan history and the old air fields of Croydon, Biggin Hill and Tangmere are wonderful. As is 10 Downing Street and Churchills war room and Blechley Park.
