Garmin G2 vision card for 4212C

Recommended Posts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a garmin 4212 , I purchased a G2 card NY/NJ area july 08 version its missing a lot of navigational information in particular all the chanel markers leading into Barnaget Light and little Egg , I'm sure there are more but these are the 2 areas I use

I contacted Garmin last year , their answer was we don't do the maps ourselves and the information mus t of just not got transfered by the company that produced them and you'll have to wait for the updated version to be released

I previously had a 3210 and all that info was there , it seems to me this is pretty important data for someone navigating into unknow ares

about 2 weeks ago I checked in with Garmin and was told a new version is available but ofcourse you must by or trade in for the new version seems a bit unfair that i bought a product the company srewed up and now I must pay more for something I alredy spent $300+ for I actually was ready to order and just spend the extra money but when the Tech started to take my info he said he just got a message that all the new G2's were being recalled because most depths were wrong on the new version!!!!

I love Garmin this is my 4th Garmin unit so this is not to bash them , I'd mostly like to know if anyone has had similar issues and if its really fair to pay for something that you already purchased
