3 bank battery charger twin engine wiring ?

Recommended Posts

I am close to the end of this boat restoration. I have a 3 bank charger 3 batteries run at 12 volt. 1 engine 1, 1 engine 2, 1 for trolling motor & electric downriggers. my delema i was going to run each battery seperate however once I got into it I relised the tach for engine 1 was not working I had pulled the ground off the switch panel which is hooked to engine 2's battery. I droped a new ground for the tach. works fine but the light doesnt work switch panel is wired to engine 2 while ground comes from #1 question can I use a ground wire from battery 1 to battery 2 if so how does it efect the charger? should i keep the trolling motor battery out of the loop?
