Looking for a boat, need advice

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I am new to this board and I am looking for a boat.

I have been boating for many years nad have owned I/O runabouts ranging from 17-22 feet. I sold my last boat 5 years ago and have been getting the itch again, but want something COMPLETELY different.

I want to purchase a used center console boat to fish on the coast. Not interersted in heading way offshore or anything, but just looking to stay close to shore. I'd like to get something in the 18-20 foot range and was wondering if you all could give me some names that I should consider as well as some that I should DEFINITELY stay away from for both boats and motors.

Thank you very much.

Checkout maycraft boats or jones brothers. Great utilitarian little boats. Jones bros is a lot more money but the quality is higher too. Maycrafts are tough boats none the less and at a great price. All outboards are pretty good these days. Good luck
