Push Pin stuck - suggestions to free up

Recommended Posts

I have 2 push pins that hold the folding back seat in place on my Jupiter 31. I tried to remove them yesterday for cleaning. I sprayed them with corrosion block and was able to get 1 out with a little tapping. The 2nd just won't budge. The push pin works freely just can not get the pin to slide out even with some pretty good tapping to push it through. Any suggestions?

Dawn dish washing liquid.

Mix it with water and spray it in there a couple of times and let it set. You will need to tap on it to help get it down in there. The high pressure car wash will help too.

The spring on the back side of the ball is full of salt. Oil will not help you as much as high pressure water and Dawn will.

I had a chemist in the boat one day and he told me that Dawn is the best thing to use to eliminate salt.......................I use it after every charter on my boat, and reels.
