Transducer problems

Recommended Posts

So I think my ducer is tango-uniform. Did a 'net search on the problem I'm having, came across another forum where someone had the exact same issues and proclaimed that replacing the ducer fixed it.

So, how hard is running my own cable? Boat is a 23' Trophy WA.

My shop isn't open tomorrow, and earlier this month was 2 weeks out on work. I could have a ducer here maybe tuesday if I order it tonight. I'm sure I could try and get Lowrance to replace it on warranty, but I've got a 3 day fishing trip planned on the 6th, and the cobia, drum and striper are all biting....

Decisions, decisions, descions.... :471_confused_face:

Wiring the new one is as simple as tying a pull cord to the end of the cable and pulling it towards the stern. From there the routing is pretty straightforward. Pull the new cable from stern to console using your pull string. Most boat riggers will leave a pull cord in the cable chase. Just make sure you pull and leave another one in there. Drop the old one and remount the new, using 4200 in your screw holes and around the cable pass-thru. Or you wait for Lowrance..and maybe they give you the runaround and won't settle. Hope things work out..good luck!
