Le Grand Bleu is one of the largest private yachts in the world at 370 feet (114 metres) in length. It was built at the Vulkan yard in Germany and was launched in 2000. Design and Construction by Kusch Yachts. It was previously owned by John McCaw Jr., an American businessman who sold her to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2002. Abramovich had it refitted to his own requirements by HDW in Kiel. This included an internal refit and the addition of a 16ft swim platform.

Le Grand Bleu is powered by two 3,600-hp Wärtsilä engines.

Cute boat. Nice to see how the other half lives. I couldn't afford half a fill up. Wiley, I'm curious how this inletcam works. Did you set it up on a pile? Does it shoot continuous, or ever so often? Is it hard wired to source or wireless? You've piqued my curiousity.

If I'm not mistaken, that boat is tied up at Harbour Town on the Dania Cut Off Canal. Been launching the new Whitewater there lately.

Le Grand Bleu is gone. I watched her leave around 11pm a few weeks ago. There are some nice ones docked off the canal though.

Look for Outback and Aurora B. Although they are still about half the size of the Bleu.

Gotcha. Last time we had the boat in Broward was Super Bowl weekend. We really didn't pay that much attention as there were many megayachts concentrated in close proximity.

That yacht is awesome, I worked on a 220 footer a year or so ago, doing a minor refit these yacht are to say the least opulent
