Heck we use Super Glue on everything - braided or mono before cinching the knot tight, put a drop in there. I use it on my tires when I get drywall screws in them. Keeps the tire from leaking until I can repair it.

I use glue on 'springy' large dia. fluoro/mono, but don't find it necessary on solid core spectra braid.

Cut a foot long piece of dacron line and run your braid through it, then tie the knot. I've had no knot problems combining braid to mono when using the dacron over the braid.

I have no problem with my knot and a dacron sleeve on top would more than double it in size.
