  1. I am purchasing a Nautic Star 2102 Legacy in the next couple of weeks. It is coming with a new Yamaha 150, trim tabs, Garmin gps, and offshore radio. I plan to fish and frequent the Ocean Isle Beach area and was wondering if anyone could assist with some good fishing spots that are within a reasonable distance from shore. Kind of new to this so any advise or assistance is greatly appreciated. I would love to fish wrecks including trolling or bottom fishing and would love advise on locations and gear I should be making available. Thanks in advance for any assistance. The boat is 21' in length, has a 13" draft, 19 degree deadrise at the transom, 25" transom height, 42 degree deadrise at entry, 75 gallon fuel capacity, and weighs around 2600 lbs with all gear. How far could I safely venture out and what is within reach with a boat with these spec's?

  3. For the sixth straight year, the National Houseboat On Water Expo will be held at the State Dock Marina on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. The three-day event kicks off Friday, June 6 and is shaping up to be the best houseboat-specific show to date. State Dock is the ideal host where attendees get a chance to truly experience the houseboating lifestyle like no other boat show can. With over 20 new and used houseboats on display last year, the 2014 offering will once again give attendees an exclusive look at the latest houseboats in the industry, plus check out some used versions of near-new houseboats as well. And that’s not including the countless vendors and exhibitors that will also be on hand to cover your houseboating needs with products and services. Throw in informative seminars, a barbecue cook off, an informative captain’s course and an on-dock poker run and you have a recipe for a fun weekend. “We’re excited to continue this one-of-a-kind show and build on our summer tradition of bringing houseboating enthusiasts together,” says Expo producer Greg Larsen. With the help of Apex Marine, a complete Qwest pontoon boat package that includes a trailer and engine will once again be awarded, plus other great prizes will be given out during the annual event. Check back to www.houseboatexpo.com as the show dates get closer for more details on the exhibitors, live entertainment, as well as how to be apart of the infamous Houseboat Row! To reserve a “boatel” or find out more about State Dock at Lake Cumberland, visit www.statedock.com or call 888-STATEDOCK. Meet the top houseboat manufacturers and take advantage of the boat specials that will allow you to get out on the water and to enjoy the unique lifestyle that only houseboating can offer. The National Houseboat Expo is presented by Houseboat magazine. For more information on the Expo visit www.houseboatexpo.com. 7. I had started looking in to yachts to see who has the best. Then I found someone that has great examples of the yachts I would love to own, and has owned 17 superyachts! These pictures in the links are amazing examples of my dream yachts. Not only does he own superyachts he also owns smaller boats, such as Fountains and Marlagos. http://johnrosatti.com/ He was even in the superyacht times.- http://www.superyachttimes.com/editorial/20/article/id/2641
