  1. never used an airless but HD used to sell a Porter-Cable top feed HVLP gun for about $100. The Binks 2001 is an old work horse too but not HVLP. You'll have to cut the latex with distilled water maybe upto 20% to get it to spraying consistency. remember to coat all the parts of the gun (needle, nozzle, etc.) with CRC or 6-56 after you break it down and clean the latex out or it'll rust on yer.
  2. Go for an Edgewater or someother unsinkable boat and make sure you got all the safety gear, PLB, EPIRB, 2 vhf radios and a portable vhf with good batteries, fresh drinking water, rated life jackets, strobes, signaling devices, pleanty of anchor rode for the depth you;ll be in, sufficient anchor chain, anchor etc. You can even go so as to bring along a water desalinator (reverse osmosis). Have a ditch kit ready too. Pick yer days and keep on top of the weather. I've been waaaaaaaaaaaaay offshore 40+ miles in small boats (under 21') and brought back more "nice" fish on those boats and burned a helluva lot gas. Just remember yer outta yer element so pay attention to the weather. And don't worry bout the looks yer get from guys in those big sporties. They're men jes like you. Only paying a lot more to be there and prolly not catchin half the fish. No joke.
  3. would ja believe me if I told yer I built JoJo's boat?
  4. Wuzzup wid those Scout's and de deck not draining. too much standing water back thar. kinda like havin yer own swimmin pool on the aft dck. who's design wuz dat CB4, yers or Ben Had's ?
  5. I like the Regulator alot but i personnaly think Contender is over rated . I am not sayi ng Contender is not a good boat because it is I just do not think it is up there with some others. I do not care for their customer service. BINGO. I'm a regulator man myself. Nuttin wrong wid contender but regulator better hands down. Smaller CC Parker is very well made too. Good bang for de buck. Wiring could be better tho
  6. "Ok, I'm not a very smart man." obviously not if that's how he speaks of himself.
  7. Best thing about rust is that eventually it all goes away
  8. I fish the same boat. Nice clean well maintained set up yer got thar, canvas, trailer and all for the price yer askin. Does the Yeti go with the deal ?
  9. pics have been known to grow embedded links in the one day of Mod 6
  10. I wouldn't ship anything not even a crate of oranges with anybody who's involved in a "shipping war" nuff said
  11. Trewax for gelcoat. Hands down the best IMO. Just remove it promptly after it hazes. Use it on the vehicles too. Holds up better than anything else I've used.
  12. Karma. Dat's what happens when yer kick the Salvation Army off yer property during Christmas season. No sympathy here
  13. Look out Popeye you made "The List". Joefy don't want anyone posting after midnight EST and before 6AM
  14. Menzie and Joefy have one thing in common. Poor reading comprehension. They must be either dyslectic or inebriated or a combination of the two.
  15. I bet yer neighbors share that same sentiment
