Boat planing problem
davidkuhlmann replied to chet labrozzi's topic in Boating and Fishing Discussion
Your boat was overloaded for the conditions especially a deck boat. They are not the best of planning hulls and with marginal horsepower and the water/wave conditions will give you a hard time even with 2-4 people. Try the same load you had on this occasion in calm water and I'm betting it will perform close to the same, but still take quite a while and speed to get on plane. -
I only knew Ted from THT and talked with him many times over the last few years there. Great guy and very helpful to myself as well as many others. May you RIP buddy and thoughts and prayers to your family. The boating comunity has certainly lost one of the great ones. I'm another that was shocked to learn Ted's age.

Pull the ECM off and see if it is grounding to the block. There is a plastic coating on the back of it and if this is the problem you will see a melted area. Not saying this is the problem but something to look for. One other thing that comes to mind is possible vapor lock. Check the tank vent for obstructions.

No Mist it just kills him to find out what people are saying about him thinking it is behind his back.

So what's the deal with RB?
davidkuhlmann replied to Chisox's topic in Boating and Fishing Discussion
Just for the record Joey decided to send me an insulting PM instead of replying to this here. -
Plain water and a micro-fiber cloth works too.

So what's the deal with RB?
davidkuhlmann replied to Chisox's topic in Boating and Fishing Discussion
The other site, which I am still a member of , could never be a better place with the characters that inhabit it. Calling/posting for the 'mommy button'is the same as mashing it but you can't help it it's your M.O. Not as Mod 6 or Joey Mc44 you are not so that says you are only a back door member. How fitting for a person such as yourself. Ah Misty, if one looks at your post history here they will see that most of them are dedicated to stalking me. I realize that I slapped you around a whole bunch over there and you(and David) whined to the mods and you are now acting like a chastised child by stalking me on this site. You are the one who seeks me out and if you continue it will result in more bitch slapping. Perhaps you enjoy it. Now run along back to the circle jerk in the cesspool from whence you came. You're too funny. It wasn't a cesspool when you where there was it? It's clear you only call it that now because you are no longer allowed in. Your only chance of entry is to come in thru a back door. I hardly call replying to your idiot posts "stalking" but if it makes you feel good then so be it.Face it Joey, You're just mad at the rest of us knowing that nothing will top the day you were caught. It was an attack I was glad to be a part of and you melted down. The PM's were flying around that night. I also don't recall any sort of bitch slap from you. Please refresh my memory. Stalking? Just read your posts on this thread and the others here in "Off the Hook" You came looking for me I did not seek you out. Caught? Nope I outed myself. You speak with mods quite often why not ask them? Try a different spin next time. You don't recall being bitch slapped? Try post#58 here for starters. Now again I say just go away, your stalking me is becoming tiresome and your petulance is showing. Aren't you embarrassed? What I can't understand is why a guy that is so unliked by everyone, wanted to still stay around and argue with the other members that got along. Besides being a king shit stirer you added no value at all Joe to THT. I always help where I can more than I visit the Bilge. Once I did visit the Bilge I found the likes of you and Menzies and couldn't stand either one of you and yes It was my quest to get both of you ousted. Mission Accomplished Even thru all the BS in the Bilge I did find it in me to help you on a thread topside where you were having issues with braid just incase you don't remember? Now all of this said you will only get back what you put into something and all you do on any site I have seen you on (RB and THT) is start shit just for the fun of it and in your own little mind you think you are superior to others. Well pal you are not. Case proven when I ousted you as Mod6 and got you banned as Mod 6 then later as yourself. Oh and don't try that BS saying that you ousted yourself. That is just the most rediculous comment I have ever heard. So if you plan on keeping on it will only continue to follow you. I'm sure Wiley can see the writing on the wall. In closing I came on to this site due to a request email from Wiley and originally participated in the board. However found it soon lacking in participation and not much going on as stated earlier in this thread. For a few months I logged in to see what was up and didn't really see that much where I felt like helping out and on areas that I really don't participate in fishing. I had asked for a Great Lakes fourm but it never happened. The last issue I see here is the site is very slow on my end at least not sure if there is a problem on the server end but I don't have the same with other sites that I go to. So that is another reason to not try and read threads that take quite a while to load. -

Tim none of that worked for me either. What worked for me was Radiofrequency sacroiliac joint denervation for sacroiliac syndrome http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11251137 Read more about my ordeal here http://www.thenextbite.com/node/16931

LOL Just a pic I found on Google Hey Tim thanks for asking about the back. Doing GREAT! Best thing I have ever decided to do. I noticed you are also having problems with you SI joint and if you go check with the Pain Management Dr you should be able to get fixed up by them. No need for a Neuro surgeon. I was off of Morphine (120 mg of Avinza per day) after 4 weeks from date of proceedure. After having been on heavy narcotics for over 10 years it is great to be off of them. I now only take 7.5 Vicodin as needed which on most days is 2 per day. Far cry from what I was on for so long. Thanks again for asking and good luck with your back pain. I would highly recommend to have the nerves burned, it is very painful but worth it. They use radio waves and for the life of me I can't remember what it is called. Will have to ask my wife since she is a Medical Transcriptionist for the name. David

How has the Gulf Oil Disaster Affected You?
davidkuhlmann replied to wiley's topic in Boating and Fishing Discussion
It has affected me in a bad way. I knew a few of the guy's that got killed on the rig. Second I was going to purchase a place on the water in south Louisiana to winter at so I could fish the coastal waters and enjoy life. I have lots of family and friends that live on the coast and yeah I'm bummed and Pissed to say the least. -
I didnt see any listed, but knowing Steve, if you wanted a ride he'd probably bring it to you. What about a ride in Central Iowa?

Sounds good Bryan. I go to Erie about every 4-6 weeks. If I'm not going to be there when you go I can still make some calls and put you right on the fish. -

Brian, I will be at Turtle Creek April 17-20 give me a shout on the radio I'm Iowa Dave. We will keep you posted on what is going on. I'm sure the reef's will be hot as well as D can trolling the D can has been good lately. Xracer, yep they are wonderful to eat. I can't think of a better fish to stink the grease Bryan, Send me a PM and I'll give you my Phone number so you can call and I will fill you in more. But for here yes Crank baits are hot mostly deep Rapala husky jerks as well as Reef Runners. Purple is always in fashion on Erie as well as chartruse, pink and yellow. Hot colors are fire tiger, purple prizm, barbie, just to name a few. Also can catch pigs on spoons, and crawler harnesses. The fishing on Erie is the best walleye fishing you will find anywhere IMO. Its easy to find the fish just head out of the harbor and look for boats. Also listen to the VHF and you will hear the numbers of where they are and on what and how far behind the boards they caught and the size of the fish. Oh one more thing is speeds on the crank baits are .9- 1.2 and the spinners as well as the spoons are .05-1.0 maybe up to 1.5 If any of you have more questions just leave them here or send me a PM. You can also upload all the pictures you want to a site like MySpace and then link the picture URL back to here so you don't take up the hard drive space here by using the picture button above in the edit box where you reply to a message So it looks like this when you post it the way I described.
