  1. I don't see this as political as much as it is all a huge lie. Hopefully the sheeple will begin to open their eyes to the BS they have been fed. The sad part is the people that really need the help are the ones in the link in Africa.
  2. The most confusing day in the Hood. Fathers Day
  3. Go buy a female monkey and problem solved! LOL FU King Chinese I'm dying here.
  4. Not sure I tried to change the font but it just kept it at the small size.
  5. Do you have pictures or anything else on where you heard this?
  6. Why would anyone quit a high paying job where you are paid to be wrong These guy's are dumber than the ones paying them for the last 20 years
  7. Oh I am but not until Joey realizes that Fla is South in relation to Iowa. Especially since the last several hours will be heading South in the state of Fla. Think I'd rather stop and fish on the new Contender in Homestead with Brian. I'm sure he would welcome all of us.
  8. Well come on over little boy Mongo Lets have a nice party together
  9. All Lowrance units come with a micro fibre cloth and tell you to only use water or mild soap if really bad. In most all cases water is all you need. The anti glare coating does not like chemicals just like Mint said.
  10. Welder I have heard of many more issues with the 300's than the 250's. Still most of the "problems" can be traced to lack of maintenance, from what I have read on them. I do not have first hand knowledge.
  11. No I don't think they are really a "problem" outboard they do need to be maintained like any others. Thirsty on both fuel and oil compared to today's standards, but usually a pretty sturdy outboard. I would have them checked out by a certified Yamaha tech before purchase as well as a marine surveyor to go over the hull. All money well spent.
  12. Yes it will Clean injectors but won't fix bad ones. There is a difference ya know. Funny chit Mint
  13. Good to know Larry I thought they were dredged up with "dredges" ;? Thanks for the info. But yes trawlers to me mean shrimp or fish. I did grow up in the south by the way. New Orleans to be exact.
  14. Neither the link you provided nor the one that it leads to say anything about him either being a scallop fisherman or being busted for supposed smuggling compartments Where did you get that from ? The article does state they are trawlers and to me that means fish not scallops. None the less he also has purchased tuna permits for the last 4 years just in case they were to catch a tuna in their nets. He obviously was trying to do the right thing. He just obviously didn't read the part you are not supposed to catch a tuna in a net. Should have said they caught it on a rod and reel and all would have been a different outcome.
  15. I am going to hold off on that technology until it has some 'seasoning'. Yeah that Chevy Volt is a real winner! Seasoned alright! Cajun Blackend! Besides an electric car will not tow my boat.
  16. Yes you are a tad under powered for the weight that you are hauling. But I think you have excessive prop slip. You may gain a bit more top end speed with a quality SS prop. Again check with Ken at Prop Gods. Your RPMS are good but that prop might be able to have some cup added to give it more bite as well. I'd go talk to a local prop shop in your area and see what they say. Make sure you tell them what you posted here above as well.
  17. In addition to what Tideline said what length boat is this and what is MAX HP on it? Sounds to me like you are propped correctly but might be underpowered. I second Ken at www.propgods.com
  18. It still sounds fuel related to me. Did you get any alarms when this happens? If this fuel tank had previously had non ethanol in it and you are now putting in ethanol fuel it will clean out the tank and clog up the filters continously until it is actually cleaned out. Check your filters again and see if there is any sludge in them. Fuel problems will not usually set off alarms. Do a Google search for ethanol problems in outboards and you will read for days. And yes you may have to take down the carbs again to clean them too. Also ethanol will eat the inside of the fuel lines and cause them to become a flapper valve of sorts which also could be your problem. Make sure you have ethanol resistant fuel lines, if not change them.
  19. I agree with Popeye. There is no prop that will perform like a SS. Composite props are cheap junk and usually cost more than aluminum. I only keep my original aluminum prop that came with the boat as a spare. Contact Ken at www.propgods.com and he will take care of you. Great guy and has a prop swap program to make sure you get the correct prop for your setup. He has more knowledge about boats and props than most. Tell him I sent you.
  20. I used ECM for lack of a better word. There is a box that controls spark. I had a 96 Mariner 40 and the same problem happened. I call all the Ignition control modules ECM's.
  21. Sounds like a bad ground connection. Do check all battery cable ends though not just at the battery.
