    IMHO you don't need LED. Just figure out the viewing distance, which will then tell you what size screen you need. Then go find a Samsung LCD 120Hz 1080p panel with the right number of HDMI inputs that you will need and buy it.

    No need to spend for anything more than this.

    I had bought a 32" old style TV from wally world when they still were available... 7ish years ago?? I'm thinkin a couple hundred for it. Well, it wasn't working and I had a comcast Tec. tell me the TV was no good. So I was actually pretty excited that I had a legitimate reason to go buy a new state of the art high tech TV. Well When I got it home... It didn't work either... I went and got a new cable box at the Comcast office and Walla , it worked. The thing isn't half as good as what I had so back it went. Now I need to find a real TV. What the heck is HDMI???? This is for my workshop where I am working on lobster pots when I'm not out fishing so I stand about10 or 12 feet from the TV. the 40" I just had looked really small compared to the old 32. the shop is 36 feet long and it is a shop so I really want a cheap TV. But I need to be able to see letters as in watching the weather channels Heather Dish.... I mean reading the forcast, etc...

    This boatmanalso guy seems to have a hard-on for menzies. Do you stalk him all day? Geez, lighten up man. It's just the internet. I read a lot here and on THT. I post when I feel I have something to add to a conversation.

    TSA has increase searches and pat downs. Already some flyers are complaining about rights. Although men pat down men and women do females... I suggest only females between the age of 26 and 40 be allowed to pat down passangers. They airlines may loose some flyers but overall passanger paticipation and attendance would probably increase. I bet people who really don't fly much would start :239_fishing:

    Both Menz and 3rd grader proved over the last 2 days that they can't take what they dish out. Their silence speeks volumes. We all know they are here looking to see what is going on with great intrest. They just can't seem to participate in a normal mannor. Maybe when the are finished learning the finer points of actual communication in a forum they will emurge from the deeps of lurk.

    I don't either but Menzies has a problem with it. If nobody ever replied to post there would be nothing to read. This thread is kindas embarring to menzies and joey..All thgety do is look all day but never post. How lame is that? If they didn't squalk it would be ok but its one of those goose gander things..

    Well, I'll never fly again as long as I gotta deal with the friggin' idiots at TSA. As far as I'm concerned, the airline industry has gone to hell. so the TSA escaped the blame for incompetence this time..I'm sure another reason will pop up any minute...............

    Just because a airport security allows someone on a plane. it doesn't mean tending security is over. They are all to blame. Luckily. it was a person escaping China.

    Since there seems to be a unwritten ediquette about asking or answering questions on the internet, I'll start this thread so we can ask or answer without having a couple people giving verbal trash for replies by others for feeling they trolled. I would prefer people asking and answering. Who knows. we might learn something??? :605_thumbs_up:

    Even if menzies gives his -2 cents :1946_headbanging: I'm pretty sure the 3rd grader will be annoying but just skip over his posts :1992_beer_cheer:
