Plan on spending a day or more in KW. There is much to see i.e. the Mel Fisher Museum,Truman Annex, Butterfly Museum, the Hemingway House. Take the Conch Train tour for an overview. For eats Pepe's on Caroline St. is my fave. For Cuban food El Siboney on Catherine St. Caroline's on Duval for jumbalaya. Louie's Backyard for some upscale but excellent dining. There are many forms of lodging which you can tailor to your budget. If you are near Sugarloaf Key (M.M.20) around mealtime or in the mood for a cocktail stop at Mangrove Mama's another fave of mine. Forget about the No Name, food is passable, service is lousy. Overpriced tourist trap. You can PM if you have questions. Congrats and enjoy!
