    WHAT! How dare any of you, say any of this!!!!!

    Truth is for me I only argued with 2 people and usually because they were bullying other people or saying something so dumb it hurt my head.

    One was a marine guy from NJ that hated Grady whites and bashed everyone,... and the other was well... I think we all know who it is.

    I dont want to print any names though. Its like in Those Harry Potter movies, you dont say the name of the guy you dont ever want to see again.. He may hear it and show up!

    Very cool. I opened it and saw 42 pages and thought .... aw geez which page will be interesting...

    Since its a slide show, and I have a short attention span, that was great. My other Boat is a 96 21 pro-line.

    I sold my seacraft and picked it up a few years ago with my brother. The ride is in no way as sweet as the sea craft was, But the boat is tough, light and the only issues Ive had is the old latches that i needed to replace.

    Also... I know he,s the "running QB" rah rah.... Yes he was great in college. But the pro game is made for passers, real passers. Guys like Vick that run before they throw get exposed in the big game.

    Yes, they do add a differrent aspect to defences, but name the "running QB" that has won the superbowl.... There are none. Running College QBs dont win superbowls.

    And dont give me STeve Young or BIg Ben.. These guys are Passers that can run if that have to, not Runners that can pass when they have to... like vick.

    His lawyers know hell only get league minimum. Thats why in backruptcy hes filing to keep his first 750k made before he pays anything out. Hell end up kepping it all

    He will play again... He will be a 3rd backup first year and sign for the leaugue mimimum. Any team that signes him would not pay any more just as a PR nightmare that could happen.

    Plus.... This jerk was over- rated to begin with. Atlanta was done a favor when he screwed up. His QB rating was never over 80 , and for his career and averages less than one TD per game for his career.

    I never understood the hype on him.

    Catch a darn Mako this year.

    Hopefully introduce my son to fishing - he is only 4 and I think he may still be a bit too young.

    Yo RI.. I though the same thing. Get him The Zebco POS that you see at wallmart. They have Spidey, Superman etc..

    Just add a Bobber to the end w/ no hook and let him cast around the yard, off the dock, anything. Worst case scenario you get hit in the head with a bobber. I used a sytrofoam one, not the plastic. My son and I had a blast just trying to get the bobber into the kiddy pool we had in the yard.

    Within a really short time he was casting it himself a good 30 feet. Accuracy was suspect, but by the end of the summer I could let him cast off the pier between boats and not worry about it

    I want my 5 year old to start fishing like a pro. He ripped it up last year with his Superman Zebco rod and even pulled in a few pretty decent sized blues (4-5 pouds) which almost pulled him off the dock. And one Bass. The Snappers had no chance.

    But my real goal is just to use the boat... New baby is due Mid-May. Nothing kills boating faster.

    Truth is, I made my handle when I joined the other forum on a whim and I didnt put much though into it. It aint hard to figure out its just first initial , last Name.. If you live around here, Im sure you either know me or could find out who I am in two seconds..Google Stamford and Malloy and youll see a bunch of us.. (good and Bad these days haha) Add the W and you may even see me. the 382.. means something to me but thats all.

    Before I knew it, THT had me addicted like crack and I had a wheel so I kept it.

    Okay... I am not new to this, but asking around never hurts so-

    Boat is in the shop now getting commissioned and I tell the guy the same thing every year.

    " I have more money than time, If it looks like it might need work, fix it"

    Now thats just something I say, I don't have time or money these days.., but if the boat breaks down in August, i could loose half my summer waiting for a repair.

    So each year I have the following done whether it needs it or not.

    97 Mariner - Carburetor ( gas hog but I swear damn near bulletproof)

    Full tune - Filters, Plugs etc..

    Fuel test

    New water pump ( whether it need it or not)

    Test Batteries , fix any fuses..

    Bilge Pump test. I have 2 on my 24 foot

    I'm just thinking out loud. I usually spend about 800 - 1800/year depending on what gets done. The guy is good and I have yet to loose a day in the summer due to breakdowns..But anything else you guys do, especially in the NE that I'm missing?

    Now you have done it! Don't you know that once you start one project that it leads to another project....then another....and another?

    Before you know it you are $80K into the boat and everything is completely redone and brand new. Oh no wait...thats me.

    But you're on the same track.

    Been There.. I have probaby 25k into my grady and best case is I sell it for 15. That said, Ive had it for 10 years now and If i didnt spend the money it would probaly be worth half that and maybe sunk haha.

    Im always spending time doing this stuff. I dont call it work, I call it therapy...
