  1. You left out Suzuki, the best outboard on the market today. ;)

My E-tec will sink your Suzi underwater any day of the week.... :1143_neener_neener_neener::2261_high::2261_high:

Kidding aside... it seems that some "toxic ASSESts" from THaT other site, didn't transferred in here.... thats awesome... hope to be able to exchange some good educated discussions on engines brands in the future... :605_thumbs_up::605_thumbs_up:

  2. Yes, Sunday was actually a nice day as long as you didn't plan on going in the ocean. We went to John Lloyd (our Sunday routine) and had a few beers. It was a bit breezy but the sun was beaming.

We did both!!! went to the flea market from 9ish to 1-1:30 and then to Haulover ramp to test the engines for over-heating... I was going to head up to JL to see if you were there (I want to give you your props back!!!), but had to meet somebody else down by pelican marine on the 79th. The sandbar was deserted (too windy for my taste).

After that We had a birthday party on Downtown Miami , so I end up my Sunday beat up... but the good news is that the engines are running awesome!!!!!!!!!

  3. Hey Seagull!!! thanks for your response!!!

I think that it would be a good addition to keep the wife and kid happy and comfortable, during harsh weather conditions (sun or rain)...

Do you have a picture of your old boat with this thing in it???

These are not as common as a T-top or Bimini top, so I would like to get as many examples or ideas as I can to decide how I want it before getting it done...

Was there anything that you liked/disliked specially on the one you had???

Everybody please chim in... I need as much advice on this as I can get....

  4. My fault.. I invited baitkiller too late...the other guy seems very cool, by the introduction he wrote on his personal info... I think that he will understand....

BTW... if it is of any help... I can vouch that I talked to baitkiller Friday morning about this site....but I do not know if the intention to join counts as precedent.... :239_fishing::239_fishing::lol:

  5. Just got this email......Can someone translate this for me I think I won and want to claim my prize :2261_high: . Oh happy daze :1992_beer_cheer:

I know nothing about German... but Herr "RAUL MANUEL" does not sound like a guy from Berlin... It sounds more like Zihuatanejo.... :1143_neener_neener_neener::2261_high:

  6. Do I get it surveyed before it leaves the factory (florida), or do i get it surveyed at dealers (northeast)? I have heard a few stories of people not getting new boats surveyed, and really regretting it.

In my opinion... I would do it at the factory.... I think that you may have better chances of being picky, than at the dealer....

Depending where in FL, I could shoot you the name and # of a very good and honest surveyor...He did mine last Friday, and I really liked the way he worked through the whole thing.... If you've around THaT other forum, you may know him as Baitkiller.

    Just my 0.2

  7. The deals there were actually quite amazing! Got a bunch of dock lines really cheap, some Sperry's for Ginger, and a cup holder for the new boat.

It would have been easy to go crazy at the Chaos Rods 50% off sale but I'm in pretty good shape there.

I got me a couple of sumbrella engine covers, telescopic magnet, sham wow, headless screw remover kit, and some more crap that I'm not proud of and I would never probably use...

Was very tempted at a marine A/C unit, I was surprised to see so many. I have an old aquaair 12000 BTU that I'm always promising to install, but I would like to get a more modern one.

C'mon Wiley... you need to open the "for sale" section so I can get rid of my A/C and get a new one.. :605_thumbs_up:

  8. I saw this really cool "bow enclosure" at the Dania flee market on one of the boats for sale... its like some kind of tailor made small bimini top from the cabin entrance almost extending to the forward top of the T-top, with windows and everything...

I think that it's going to be a good option for shade (especially for the kids) on the really hot sunny days...or when heading to Bimini on the summer.

I talked to the guy and he mentioned all-in-one marine canvas, somewhere around the Tamiami airport... He called it a "spray deflector" but it looked more like a "shade provider" than a "spray deflector"

Does anybody have experience with these guys work???

Have any of you venture on some custom cover of this type??? any advice???

  9. Thanks Kerno!!!!!!

Know nothing about Hondas, but have a personal interest on E-tecs...

When that other user brought the hose/ethanol issue in THT, I was hesitant to believe or disbelieve, just because I didn't have all the fact and details, so its hard to come to a judgment.

I certainly trust on your word and expertize, and the fact that this is not the first we heard, makes it harder to disregard...

So I will keep a close eye on mine...

Could you find out if he noticed any difference on the outside appearance or "feeling" on the hoses, after the problem occurred???

I cant believe that such an easy fix to the e-tec problem, is not being addressed by BRP. The ethanol being 10.5 is not an excuse, there has to be some kind of margin of error on the hoses to allow for variances... I'm not talking about 20%, but maybe 12 or 15%....

The only things that still rattles me is that theres guys on Brazil ruining E-tec on E20 or E25 with out problems...

The good thing about this is that comes to prove that no engine is bullet proof, and all engines have problems...
