  1. Bahh missed this thread.. gotta keep my eyes open. I am a month older now though and have dry sheets with manny panties
  2. My neighbor purchased a 28 Southport from you all last summer/fall. He was very happy in the dealings with you all and more than pleased with the boat...
  3. I have out-fitted two boats with electronics from BOE, Sold a boat through them, bought a boat through them, and now get my Honda outboard serviced by them. The quality of care and fair price dealings that Jim and Beth offer are not matched anywhere IMHO.
  4. Checkout maycraft boats or jones brothers. Great utilitarian little boats. Jones bros is a lot more money but the quality is higher too. Maycrafts are tough boats none the less and at a great price. All outboards are pretty good these days. Good luck
  5. Judge Yachts builds all their boats with a tapered deadrise. Deep V entry and flattens out by the transom. Along with that and a good length to beam ratio, it gives great blend of ride, stability, and economy. Also provides for shallower draft yet big water capabilities. All composite, rot-free 3 piece construction. Open level deck to helm to make it a great fishing platform. For a boat with more family features and a little less hard core fishing, I really dig the Bristol Harbor 21. What a classy, good looking boat with head in the console, forward boxes, blunt bow for a longer running surface. Boat is finished very nicely too. BOE Marine in Maryland has a good deal on one that I checked out while they were servicing my motor. Here is a shot of the Judge deck.. 22jy1.bmp
  6. Just so this thread isnt a complete downer, I am a part time rep at Judge Yachts and we are actually ahead of last couple of years in number of boats being built. The crew is working a 40hours a week (4 10 hour days). All boats are built to order...
  7. I have never owned lencos but have Volvo QL tabs on my current boat and love them compared to the bennetts on my previous boats (both Pro-lines BTW). They are not a "hold the button" tab at all. You press it once and the indicator tells you exactly the position the tab is in. They auto retract, are all composite, and dont extend out creating something to snag a line on or have a kid hurt themselves on while swimming. They are also very quick to respond which is a plus in my book. My builder switched from Bennetts on their boats up to 36' and has been more than pleased with their performance and reliability. I have been pleased with them for the 6 months and a hair over 100 hours I have run them.
  8. Good info thanks for sharing. My builder has a customer with 6000 hours on a Honda but I believe the customer is a commercial crabber so most the hours are at low rpms. Being that I average about 150-200 hours on the motor a year I should be golden, especially since 2/3rds of my hours are at idle trolling for striped bass.
  9. my main goal is to have as much fun as last year if not more and keep my 8 year old breaking his personal record for striped bass.
  10. Every boat is different but I liked running a 17 Enertia over the Mirage on my last boat. i was able to hold plane slower, lose less grip, and obtain more rpms at WOT. I believe I have read in a review that despite the smaller diameter of the Enertia that it actually has more blade surface area than the mirage plus.
  11. One advantage to using one brand of motor is that hopefully the manufacturer will have the boat set up properly from the factory with the right prop and motor mounted at the best height. However it never seems to work that way.
  12. dont reply to me, I am busy registering as some of the more popular characters on the other forums and will sell them back the rights to their usernames when they try to come over here
  13. Where can I get a new sail for my sunfish around here?
