  1. Tom answered me on the "other site". I would have to wait until I get the boat back from Mercury. There was an idle issue they are working on for me.
  2. I have this tab control and when I raise the starboard tab, the indicator will flash the red dot led's up and down and will not calibrate. The tabs work fine, just the indicator is having issues. Is Tabman here or does anyone have any ideas what it could be?
  3. Thanks We had fun taking the kids this time.
  4. I asked him how many people passed by and he said I was the first. He also said he did not have a towing service. IMO the best insurance to have.
  5. when you take your boat out. We towed him in about 6 miles. He said to meet us and he would buy us lunch for our efforts; never showed up. Oh well.
  6. I was finally able to install the gas shocks from Attwood. I had to get the pressure reduced to 20lbs, as 30lbs was too much. These 2 boxes never stayed open, and when they dropped; you had better not have your toes nearby.
  7. I wonder if that guy was ticketed for improperly securing his load?
  8. The earlier boats were made with poor quality automotive wire. Fiberglass was not painted and finished very well. I am sure they turned out alot of boats on a daily basis. I learned this from completely removing every stock part on my 1997 Trophy 1902 and replacing it.
  9. I knew bying at 10 cents would pay off.
  10. Yea, it was rough and we were getting tossed around pretty good.
  11. Thank you very much. I just reserved a 30 foot with power for $45. That is a good price. We have actually decided to stay home next year and rent a house for 2 weeks. We are looking at bald Head island, but may look at Charleston, as there is more to do and that is my future retirement home. Europe is fun, but relaxing on the beach and fishing, sounds better.
  12. I hear you, but they are so much fun Most of the time. Thanks
  13. We left out out of DC arround 9am and arrived at Sandy Point, just after 10am. There was no wait at the ramp. The park gives active duty military free entrance. The security must have been improved, because there were several trucks patrolling (state police and wildlife/park rangers). We picked up or 5 day lisence at the marina store and headed out through the channel and stopped under the bridge. We fished there a bit, but numerous boats would blow past you and it was already rough enough. We decided to check out the inner harbour, so we made the trip there and then returned. It was pretty rough on the bay, so it was a slow go. Here are a few pictures.
  14. Now that is funny. and it reminds me
  15. but shooting a whale 6-7 times as it struggles is just wrong.
  16. I will be strickly inshore. I am not setup for off shore.
  17. I was able to find my old 512 card, and it upgraded fine. What is it supposed to change?
  18. I just reserved one of the houses for the 4 day weekend. What can I expect in the ways of fishing etc. Thanks
  19. With just the weekends, I am looking at 288 hours plus M-F, about another 75. So a total of 350 or so and about 4000.00 in parts and outside services. Now if I could find a 4 stroke engine to make her purr.........
  20. Not a very good video, but here she is.
