  9. You can do a partial DITY move and they will pay you to tow it. They paid me to transport my boat from NC to VA. I had 125000 pounds. My boat weighed 4000 or so. I still had 9000 for furniture. http://www.military.com/Resources/Resource...Y_Specifics.htm

  11. I would go to Japan, 29 Palms sucks, but you could use the boat on the west coast and they will pay you to ship it as a part of your house hold goods allowance.

  13. If you are trying to sell from the web, take cc and payments, you can use ready made store fronts. I use go daddy hosting for my personnel page. The best thing to do, is go buy the domain you want for $7.99 per year, and they will offer you free hosting. They have a few ready made websites that will get you up and running in an hour or so. You can take paypal by creating a link, that will take them straight to your paypal account. that would be the cheapest way to do it. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...erview-outside
  14. It was raining so hard, I just walked through the tents. I was planning on taking a bunch of photos, but there was too much rain.
  15. I looked for her. When did she leave the area?
  16. I really think Miami will be better this year. Anyway, my parents are coming with us this year. We are doing the auto train thing for a change of pace. Anyway, we need to do the yearly reunion with you 2.
  17. I was trying out my new camera, until the rain started really coming down. I did not take a bunch of pictures. The turn out was pretty good for having such crappy weather. I hung out with Jim at BOE for an hour or so, until I was soaking wet and headed home. I am looking forward to Miami and better weather.
  18. FYI-Marriott and Doubletree Biscayne Bay have some great rates right now. I just booked our hotel at the Doubletree.
  19. The average range is about 1600 nautical miles. Obviously there are many variables to cruising speed, but the max speed is 312 knots.
  20. He declined the Boat US quote of $300. He was not that far from land, but quite a distance from his truck. I told him the coast gaurd would only come if he was in a light threaning condition, or a navigational hazard.
  21. 2008, with two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A reverse flow, free turbine engines, each rated at 1,050shp. The Hartzell propellers are four-bladed, 266.7cm aluminium alloy automatic feathering reversible-pitch propellers. The current configuration seats 8, but can hold 11. All nav and GPS are Rockwell Collins.
  22. I towed in another boat last night that had become disabled near the Woodrow Wilson bridge. I noticed a flare flickering in the distance. The captain said he had Boat US, but when I called they could not find his membership. When he was quoted $300 for the tow and declined, I offered to tow him the 2 miles to the ramp. He gave me some money for fuel and I started home with 5 passengers. I had never run at night on the Potomac, but had several clear routes logged in the plotter. I turned on the radar and was able to navigate perfectly, running about 15 knots and calm waters. All the markers were dead on and only one sailboat was running with no lights. My dad who was a navy commander of submarines and the owner of the plane below, has renewed confidence in my ability to pilot a boat and a 5.2 million dollar plane.
  23. I will pm my new number. Ask her to call and mabe we can meet up fro a drink.
