  1. Having a very simple name like "Bob" I was always collecting pictures of signs from establishments such as "Bob's Plumbing", "Bob's Cars", Bob's Boats", etc. When it came time to name this boat I was looking for a more tropical name than the Reel Estate I had used before. While looking at charts of the tropics, it hit me - Bob's Cay. Helped that my last name began with "K". Hence my own little island.
  2. Thought that we should try a seperate topic for the saltwater guys based in Atlanta. There was always a lot of chat on the Lake Lanier threads about saltwater and other boating opportunities in and around Atlanta. For those doing a search, they might have to stumble onto the Lanier topic. Atlanta is a great location for a saltwater fisherman / boater. From Atlant you can easily access the gulf, Florida, Georgia coast, and the Carolinas. I am not a member but the Atlanta Saltwater Fishing club is a very active group that holds meetings in Atlanta and fishing events over the SE. Hopefully one of the members will chime in and give more detail. I do not get to fish as much saltwater as I would like but I do trailer my boat around some to saltwater. I plan to check both this thread (if it gets legs) and the Lanier thread. Bob
  3. Hey Mike and Danny. Mike, you made the right choice on your St Augustine trip. I was there Thursday night and Friday morning. Wind was blowing like crazy. Tried to fish Saturday out of St Simons but wind was 20 kts. Stayed inside and rode around mostly. What do you guys think about starting 2 more threads, one titled "Atlanta Saltwater Fishing" and one titled "Atlanta Boaters". While I like the wide variety of stuff in the Lanier thread it might be better organized into 3 topics for those using the search. I do not want to clutter up the forum and divide the responses needlessly. What do you think?
  4. Wait until the meds wear off. Bet we get the same guy back with pictures of those ugly tennis shoes. But if Dave has really changed, maybe he is wearing Crocs now...
  5. I'll be damned. You can teach and old dawg new tricks!
  6. Ok, let's see if the photo thing works. Never could seem to get it right on other forums.
  7. Go fishing more often and try and have more patience.
  8. I saw a spider crack in the t-top of a 41' XXXXX Sportfisherman.
  9. i will give a reply a try. Thanks for opening an alternative Wiley. Hope this all works out very well for you. Like the layout and look forward to the new features and content as they evolve. Found the calendar at the top of the page. That could be very helpful especially if you load important events such as boat shows (WPB for a start) and other less well known events like tournaments, marine flea markets, antique boat shows, etc. I would be nice to have it all consolidated into one place. Good luck.
