  1. I'm joe; I'm a redneck. Current boat has no name - looking to get next one maybe next month (14'itis) and will be named after my wife Ann Claire.
  2. yeah, Bayholes are crap. My 22 year old cruiser actually had to have a stern drive replaced and the windows resealed. I guess Sea Rays are crap too because my 20 year old runabout had to have a carb rebuilt and the sterndrive repared. Oh, and the speedometer doesn't work. Someday I'll learn that I need to spend more than a few grand on my boats.
  3. yeah but looking at post #22 which is just before the post about not knowing what a Bayhole is makes a bigger impact.
  4. They are finally just starting to fall on the bigger, older boats that people are not in debt and/or upside down on. As you know murky I have been looking at big boats since we got rid of the Bayhole and no one is really dropping - or they are just still emotionally tied to the price. I'll probably take a 50% loss on the little SeaHole we just bought 4 months ago to move back into the bigger models. I'm emotionally tied to the boat, not the price. I wish they would drop some more, just before all the inflation hits in about another 18-24 months from all this financial smoke and mirrors.
  5. just for the record, see Post #22 on this thread.
  6. you are challenged there randall or are you going off the original tshirt design when the flags were backwards? I also do searay club and http://www.excelforum.com when i want to feel inadequate.
  7. Am I the only one having trouble staying logged on? I check the "remember me" box (defaulted thataway too) but when I come back I have to log in more often than not. this is the only site I have to do that with. anyone?
  8. hey murk- not everyone knows a Bayhole is a Bayliner...
  9. i see people reading book, mags, newspapers all the time.

  12. kenergy go away and quit bothering these nice people.
  13. good info. Still want to pee on somehting tho'
  14. didn't someone publish a magazine just after this excursion?
  15. hey murky. I've never heard of hydraulics failing, but I've always used somehting for the transom.
  16. Are you in a high traffic channel or back water? I would go fixed - no wind issues, no cables to worry about.
  17. yeah I've always thought inboards were mechanically more simple - wonder why there are not more of them. The v-drive shouldn't be much more complicated but it does have theextra gear - hadn't thought about the issue of getting to a rear seal. Simplicity is why I went for the Cummins over the other two. The only drawback for me is it takes away the space for the mid-cabin.
