  1. BTW, Wiley, can you do me a favor and change my sign in name to my screen name? Thanks, Bob
  2. Wiley, I must object...oops, "Doesn't apply to me..." BTW, why join a forum if you never post? 1)Somebody else had the same problem as you, and the members solved it. A polite thank you as a first post you might do. 2)Have nothing of use to offer to the members. Gee, never had an experience with your boat that some other member just described? 3)Bashful? The Internet, except for it's cookies, allows you complete anonomynity. 4) Lurking? We used to do that in the bars in Champaign...for girls! So, all you non-posters, POST!!! :2261_high:
  3. Liquid Neoprene works well also. O'Reely has a good point about location...
  4. Don't you just love kids who have nothing to do but make other people's lives miserable? And they probably did it from Daddy's boat... :753_hammer_hitting_head:
  5. So what can't be said here that is said "over there"? And where's Ron Widman?
  6. Seems to me the USCG has lost control to the EPA. I would naturally assume they had a safety inspection earlier this year as part of their annual checkups. So, who is pulling the strings now? This wouldn't have happened in the first place if the BP bean counters had allowed Halliburton to correctly cement the well in February. Instead, you have a mish-mash of Federal bureaucrats all pointing fingers. Not to get off the subject, but why is Obama telling a private company when they should give their shareholders a dividend? He did it with BP and now RIG (TransOcean). The spin doctors in the "oval" would have you believe he got his wish from BP - but in fact the notice from London was a week ago that the dividend would be suspended as the company's value was half of two months ago. Now he wants RIG to do the same. It's not his business to tell business - esp a foreign business what and who they can pay. And you'd rather see them pay out a $10B dividend, then declare insolvency and stick us with the bill for the clean-up... Pay the people on the gulf coast first, with guarantied money, and more to come! Invest in a company? It does well, you do well. It doesn't, you don't. Economics and risk, my friend...
  7. RAMP FOLLIES!!! :753_hammer_hitting_head:
  8. TR, Damn good question! Sometimes I wondered about our "test team"... I'd raise them 2 holes, like you said, and see what she does. I'm kind of surprised, though, as I can't think of any model or engine combination where we mount in the top hole (all the way down). Could have been a dealer rig...
  9. In all honesty, does any one REALLY think this thing will be "stopped" by say, Sept/Oct timeframe, if ever?
  10. BH, By far one of the best and most informative posts I have read here or anywhere else! Trailer maintenance and issues are too often neglected by boat owner's, and to sink a little money and time into an obvious upgrade can benefit them many-fold down the road, via less down-time, more fishing time, and less worry... Thanks for posting! :605_thumbs_up:
  11. To give you a little insight, the "Seahorse" line is the old Sunbird "Neptune" series of hulls...
  12. JWS, Here's your manual... smis_4in_dis_instructions.pdf
  13. JWS, I've done Suzuki SMIS installs for Proline a bunch of times, even wrote a Programming Guide that Suzuki now uses...without any pay to me! Anyway, you should be able to configure the quad screen with any info you want to see in each quadrant. Should be able to do that using the "Pages" function (add a page), but I'll do a little poking around. We do all our installs with the GPS module. Real simple, you can mount the antenna on top of the dash, even with a hardtop/T-Top if you want, add a tee to the network, plug in your connector, and you're good to go. Should you get one, make sure you get the latest. Lowrrance had some failure problems a couple of years ago, and with the decline in the boat building business, there's a lot of old hardware laying around... Note the pic in this PDF, it shows voltage in one of the quadrants. http://www.opticup.com.pl/suzuki/akcesoria/suzuki/SMIS/smis.pdf
  14. JWS, When you scroll through the menu and get to the system voltage, does it give you "0.00", or "---"?
  15. The Tohatsu guys are some of the best! Congrats on your rebuild, she is FAR better than a new boat! Enjoy, get out and get some fish before the oil does...
  16. Frank, We really don't bite, unlike elsewhere's. We would love to here your accounts/descriptions of what is REALLY going on with the water quality and conditions in Bayou la Batre. We hear a lot of "second-hand" knowledge. Like to get your knowledge, up close and personal...
  17. So, in theory, what do we do, given the possibilities that unforeseen circumstances can occur that, in reality, can't be planned for, yet the occurance of those circumstances can have catastrophic effects the virtually the entire world? I'm sitting here at my desk, looking at my computer, the keyboard, the mouse, the printer, the phone, the digital camera, EVEN the mouse pad...all made from oil. The USB cords, the surge protector, everything...and that's just a drop in the bucket, no pun intended... Off to watch "The Ed Show" now...there is one person passionate about this spill...
  18. Knot, Understand what you are saying. I do support our government but in the case of this decision, well, I don't. The jobs that will be affected from Alabama to Texas will be probably more than the region can bear. I HOPE it is reconsidered...
