  1. Sweet!! She did a nice job of bringing it in.
  2. Nice little baitfish. Ya catch anything with them?
  3. Your friendly local Ethanol dealer thanks you profusely. Catch anything?
  4. Ahhh... up near Crab Alley Bay - not far from St. Michaels. Quite a few of that style around Cherry Street dock area in St. Michaels. Dang.... now I've got a craving for dinner at The Crab Claw.
  5. I used to see a lot of that type boat around St. Michaels, up by Chestertown along the Chester River, and down around Solomons. Chances are good that boat has sunk more than once, and chances are just as good that the boat has neither a bilge pump nor any thru-hulls. Just a big old empty coffee can for bailing her out. Most of these are flatbottom wooden hulls, many originally simple rowboats, outfitted with just the barest of necessities - - a small outboard, a seat or two, and that's it. Simple but functional. And sometimes simple is the only way to go.
  6. Lots of factors at play affect the state of the seas at any time. Tide state - - rising, falling, or slackDepth and width of the inletContour of the bottomWind direction and speedOffshore weather affecting wave heightsPrevailing currents on both ends of the inletAnd probably lots more I'm not thinking of right now As I'm sure we've all seen, any given inlet can be glass smooth right now and totally wild and crazy a half hour later. But a nice smooth inlet sure is a pretty sight, huh ?
  7. I'll second that observation. Two other forum-type sites that I frequent (neither of them fishing/boating related) have also seen pretty significant drops, especially on the weekends. If it follows the usual pattern, once the last-minute summer vacations are over, all the kiddies are back in school and the cold weather sets in up north, traffic will pick up.
  8. 'Gators were probably thinking they didn't want to chow down on somebody that stupid. Afraid it might be contagious. Glad to hear things are looking up at ProLine. Hopefully you guys are on the leading edge of some form of recovery for the whole industry. Good luck! Still pretty dead here today. Where's Ludicrous with his cricket chirping video??
  9. Yeah, actually dry here today for a change. I'll be ordering that 26SS (perhaps two of them) right after I cash in a winning Powerball ticket. IF I ever get one!!
  10. I did. But in the "Chatter" forum.... It IS definitely quiet around here today. Guess all the Northerners are getting in those last few before-Labor Day fishing trips. While we Southerners sweat our butts off and dodge thunderstorms.
  11. If this truck kills me before I can get it into the shop for the recall, I swear I'll never buy another Dodge truck.
  12. Belated Happy Birthday, Wiley! Personally, I stopped having those nasty things when I realized they were making me older!
  13. Hmmmmm... Guess I better not ignore the postcard I recently got about the same thing - - Recall: H46 STEERING LINKAGE I had pretty much the same thing happen with the old '98 Dodge; felt like the whole front end was going to disintegrate. Instead of getting it fixed, I traded it in on the '06 2500. How many miles on your Power Wagon ? I've got about 47K on mine.
  14. In your case, that's anything below 3000 RPM.
  15. You blew it, Tim. It said: I await your prompt response and please keep this very discrete and to yourself until the transfer of the funds to you is finalised. Now that you went and blabbed about it online, you'll undoubtedly be eliminated from the distribution. You shoulda kept it secret. Better luck next time, bud.
  16. A little MarineTex and some buffing and it'll be good as new.
  17. I'm not up to speed on the fishing there, but we docked at Pirate's Cove for a few days about ten years ago, and it's one fine marina! First-class operation, and lots of those "what-you-can-do-with-a-few-extra-bucks" boats to drool over. Have fun, and here's wishin' good fishin' !
  18. It's time to declare open season on boat thieves, especially in Florida where it seems to be epidemic. Judging from the fact that you have an exact time it was removed from the lot, is it safe to assume there's surveillance video? How about adding the color(s) of the truck and license number, if available? Tag number of the trailer may be helpful, too. Hope it's found quickly. Preferably with a few deceased boat thieves crushed under it.
  19. Bill's now formally a hurricane. Predicted path SEEMS to show it staying out in the ocean, but strengthening to at least a Cat 3.
  20. Dayum, Ludicrous!! That's amazing! I never woulda guessed. (PS - It already did - Tropical Storm Claudette is about to visit the Panhandle and Alabama....)
  21. You're just full of good news this weekend, aren't you? Storm shutters - check Beer - check Gas for the generator - check Scotch - check Batteries for flashlights - check Rum - check Propane for grill - check Vodka - check Bring it on.
  22. The first person on this site who says "Hunker Down" gets a hundred pounds of month-old chum poured over his/her head.
