You're probably going to have to remove that hatch and have a new one fabricated out of a material like Starboard and mount it permanently in place. Then a unit like a Lewmar Pro sport 550 horizontal windlass can be mounted to it directly. You have to have about 18" clearance for the anchor rode to drop in without kinking.

Joe,
I too have several friends there but they are not fishing kind of boaters.
How long is your run from there to the inlet?
About 12-14 miles, depending which way you go through the bay.
-
Joe I had my 31'pacemaker at F6, at the end of the season, I went down to take it to a friends marina, somebody had shut down the breaker, I had 1 1/2' of water in her. Never went back. Are you at the end by the bay, I have 2 friends down there.
I at "B" dock now, the first basin as you enter the main gate. Back in 1995-2000 I was at "F"-24 with my 25 Grady Sailfish.

My first was a 1968, 16', Larson with a 55 hp Evinrude. The engine had a push button shift like an old dodge.

Enjoyed the first episode last night, but way too many commercial breaks I'll have to DVR it next week to get rid of all the spam
