  1. I believe it's going to hurt Contender whomever maybe right or wrong. Not good for either party. I hope it's resolved where both parties are satisfied. David

  3. Happy Birthday HotSpot!!! by the way, where ya been lately? David
  4. Yeah THT is all bull$hit... the place went downhill after you left.... If you build a place where manufacturers, and customers can come together to discuss products/ideas without the bashing then you will not have a problem!!! ThaT other place it a ticking time bomb.... I believe you have the opportunity to make RB the NEW age way to discuss boating... Keep up the good work!!! David
  5. If you build it (and build it right) they will come!!! David

  9. Does anyone think that you could "arrange" a practice distress call with the Coast Guard? Or could we put together a video, or audio file to insert into a FAQ section of the website? Just asking... David
  10. I have been trying to participate as much as I can. I agree we need more participation. I posted my Evinrude thread, but have not had a chance to check the motor yet b/c it snowed here over the weekend. I visit 5-10 times a day, but we need more topics/discussions going on. Don't go back to the hating/bashing way... Hang in there it will get better! David
  11. The centered format takes some getting use to.... but looks good! David
  12. Wiley, Can you delete my duplicate post in Dockside Chatter? Also the reason why I did it twice is bc after I clicked submit I had a bunch of pictures of members boats! It took me a few to figure out what was going on, but I like the new layout!!! Keep up the good work Wiley! David
  13. This may of been posted here before, but I cannot help to check this website out atleast once a week!!! www.peopleofwalmart.com This site is freaking hilarious... Love IT!!! David
  14. Anyone know how to make the bang bang shrimp that Bonefish Grill serves? Love them things! David
  15. Thanks for all the help! I am mainly trying to fix the motor to learn, and to get some money out of it. I probably will be replacing it with an E-tec 90, or a verado. I like the Evinrude because it's white and will match the boat, but that black verado is NICE! We will see, I am still early in the motor purchasing phase. I still have alot of gelcoat work to do. Keep the comments coming! I will update when I have more info. I am getting a repair manual, and a compression tester this weekend. If I have enough time (and no snow) I will post updates. David
  16. None taken, I am very mechanically inclined. I am mainly into electronics, but have done some small automotive work. At work (TV Repair) I can take light engines, and even VCR mechanisms completely apart and put them back together again. I know this is nothing like an o/b motor, but I am up for the challenge. I always love learning new things, and if I do not know how to do something or the answer to a question I will always find out. It may end up that I do not fix this motor, but I would sure love to give it a try. Thanks to all for the suggestions so far, if anyone else has any more please feel free to share! David
  17. Just any standard compression checker? I saw one at sears for around $30 bucks. Sorry to be so ignorant but I have never messed with a boat motor. Thanks David
