  3. Bought this great boat with a family member back in July. The boat has caused a family problem and needs to be sold. Constant bickering has gotten old and I have decided to sell to alleviate the family feud.

Boat runs great and is built like a tank. All cushions are in good condition. The cockpit bolsters are a little worn as well as the helm chair arm rests. I would entertain a trade for a Grady White Tournament 275 or something smaller I can handle by myself. Bay boat, smaller CC/DC etc..Priced to sell at $64,900. PM or e-mail me with questions. chesterandtiffany@yahoo.com

  4. Congratulations on a great choice. I know a boat salesman who has access to most the popular brands in that size, and he says that is one of the best riding hull designs on the water. Waiting for pictures.

She is a solid ride thats for sure. She has a few hours on the F225s, 1200 to be exact but they run great. Boat does not show her age and use. I am in love.

  5. I have to agree with Propbender if you plan to use the boat mostly for fishing. I bought a small cabin boat years ago when my girls were young thinking the same as you that they would use the cabin to nap and get out of the sun. Same problem as Props, seasick, hot, cramped and that was on the three or four times a year they went. The rest of the time I was stuck with something I really didn't want. Of course the cabin did help me sell the wife that we needed a boat. The next boat I bought was a center console that I added an oversized spray hood to the front that had a window that could be opened for air, and that worked out much better for everybody. I would seriously look at that Fountain. It's a heck of a deal. Good luck on your search, that's half the fun of boating. :)

Bought the 2002 Grady White 300 Marlin Wed. Boat is in great condition. Lots of room with the 10'7" Beam and 30' length. The gen set and ac option should help keep the cabin cool. Fished her yesterday with 6 guys and had plenty of room. :1992_beer_cheer: Pics to come. Thanks guys for your input and advice. :605_thumbs_up:

  6. Chet it is very funny to read your post. I have the same boat Grady222 and we have a 6 month old little boy. Now of course I'm on the site looking around at other boats same as you. I really like the Pursuit denali's but I doubt I will sell the Grady. I really love the fishability of the boat and have been having my boy nap on the bow cushion under this sunshade thing, it works but not the best. Please keep me posted on your hunt, my family will be following you as we are in the same boat haha

Just put a 2002 Grady WHite 300 Marlin under contract. She has a gen set, auto pilot, tri axle trailer, radar, and 4 stroke Yamaha power. Going to get her Thursday if she checks out. Motors have 600 hrs on them. :1992_beer_cheer:

  7. Hmmmm 9 days, 17 posts and back to square one??:P

Offerd $70K on a Grady White Sailfish Monday and the owner is stuck on $73K He is going to let $3K stop him from selling the boat. I am fed up with these sellers who think there boats are worth more than they are. I am in the drivers seat as a buyer in this market and don't have to be in a hurry. I am buying a WA. Maybe someone will want to sell me there boat soon. The fall is coming and going to be a long winter. I am sure there will be some deals then. Thanks for you input and thoughtful reply.

  8. Thanks for all the input on this guys. I went and saw them at the shop today for the verdict on rebuilding the lower 1/2 of the trailer. Which was to replace spindles and axles, and springs and hangers. They wanted $1800.00 to do the job. They told me that seeing the trailer is 8 yrs. old and the price is more then 1/2 the cost of a new trailer. I might want to consider going with a new trailer. I asked them to give me a price on a new trailer. $3300.00 for a roller trailer. I asked them about the price on a bunk trailer $3100.00. I told them to hold on and give me a day and I would get back to them. So I got home and called another local dealer and asked for a price. He gave me a price for a tandem axle trailer with 4500 gvw. Which I looked at and it is very nice and well built. The price he told me was $2800.00. So guess were I'm going for a new trailer tomorrow ?

Sell that used one on craigslist bet you could get $1000 out of it.

  9. This one fits the bill. But, she might be sold this weekend

    http://www.thehulltruth.com/boats-sale/231...-beautiful.html

Just my opinion. Everyone I know that doesn't overnight with a walkaround wishes they had a cc. Sea sick, hot, humid, cramped, no 360 fishability, lack of deck space, lack of in deck storage, no breeze. If you don't sleep on it you do not need a w/a. Heck you could mount a bimini top and throw a kingsize blowup matress on the bow of a 34' CC for naps

What about when Nov., Dec., Feb., and March rolls around? You will freeze your ass off on those 40 degree mornings running a CC. Sure is nice to have full curtain set for cold and rain. Seems like a CC limits your fishing and boating season.

  10. Here's the Boat Trader link...lots of boats for sale...

    http://www.boattrader.com/search-results/T...ort-Price:DESC/

Thanks for the link. There seems to be a ton of boat in the 1999 to 2001 model year range. Must have been a boating boom then. Lots are sitting due to older 2 strokes. Would consider one to repower but theses prices semm out of line.

Is it just me or does the Pursuit cockpit gunnel walls short? Looks like you would fall right out.

  11. Pursuit 2870 Walkaround. Plenty for sale at that price with twin four stroke power. You'll love this boat.

Kinda figured I needed a WA. My dad looked at an Everglades 260CC and he loved it but it would not be practical for the family. Plus you can't use that boat year round. The wife likes the curtain enclosure for cool fall rides. Is there a way to rig up AC on a Pursuit 2870 or a Grady Sailfish 282? Someone said use a Honda Generator and one of those suitcase size room AC units from Home Depot.

Anyone know of a clean Pursuit 2870 or Grady Sailfish 282 for sale at a good price? Preferably close to Destin, Fl.

    Thanks guys. :1992_beer_cheer:

  12. Ok I sold my Grady CC. I need a boat. Need you guys opinion of what would fit me best. Used in the Gulf of Mexico for bottom fishing mainly and some trolling. Needs to double as a family cruiser. Have a 6 month old and the wife requires a built in head. No overnighting. Mainly day cruises. My requirements are 4 stoke twins and a high quality builder. Should I go CC or WA? Looking for something no bigger than 30'. Opinions?

  13. Guys looking at a 2007 Everglades 260CC. Anyone know anything about these boats? They look to be constructed very well. Looks like they changed the name of this boat to the 270CC this year. I think they are the same hull and layout. Any first hand experience regarding ride and construction would be appreciated. Thanks.
